Personal opinion is that he knew he was turning pro and didn't want to get injured. He's pretty much been passed over his entire career here at LSU except this season, and probably didn't want to risk an injury to hurt his draft status

my source told me that ego and the coaches decided that he shouldn't play so that a bunch of know-nothing message board dickheads could wildly speculate about why he didn't play or travel.

Because he's not better than the older players that are now starting in the NFL. Passed up, please. He played a ton last year as a sophomore. He got more pt than freak.

Who cares what it was. LSU protected their player w/ the upcoming potential draft. Kudos to them.
