It’s not like we were bidding with anyone for him

How do you know we weren't?
How do you know schools haven't tried the last few years to get him at a low dollar offer and he had decided he would just be a head coach until something good came along?

How do you know Coach O and the AD didn't decide he was worth the money and wanted to make sure and pay him enough to make sure he's happy and doesn't want to leave in two years?

Yeah but it’s money that could have possibly been distributed elsewhere. There is only so much money they can spend on staff.

it is but I like that we are swinging a big dick. LSU should

let's see the deets of the contract before we go crazy

I'm sure Woodward was looking to stabilize DC so that it would be hard for Pelini to jump for another small HC job at the first sign of success

It's less than what Aranda was getting, why do people keep freaking out about the money?

It is a ton of money but O knew who he wanted and knows that nobody talks about money when you win championships. Having a great defense and one of the best in the business to build and lead it is essential. Bo has got some tools to work with more than he had before (except for )LaRon Landry) when we won the championship in 2007.

Let's just take it from girls bball. Maybe they can take some buses for a while, reuse some uniforms and stuff, get a volunteer coach. Couldn't do any worse. They're hemorrhaging $4 million a year.

As long as he’s producing top ten defenses idc what he gets paid but it definitely feels like they overpaid some. Anybody else feel that way?

So did you question what we were paying Aranda? Pelini had top 3 defenses so the answer is No.
