Based off draft grades he has gotten he is likely a 2nd night guy, maybe falling to 3rd night.
3rd night....rounds 4 through 7. Anyone who thinks he is higher than that is smoking something. My brother thinks at this present talent level he would be an undrafted free agent...as of now an NFL special teams guy. I think his athleticism will get him drafted.

shite. Our defense should be damn strong with or without perkins. Absolutely want a talent like perkins to contribute but hes not going to make or break our defense. Hell, our defense actually looked better without him this season. Even though i believe he was being utilized in the wrong way and he did get injured fairly early in the season.

Who has said this? I love the concept if we execute properly, but haven't heard that.
I don’t know about him returning, but he moved to star before he got injured. So if he does come back, that’s where I’d expect him to play.

He certainly isn’t ready for the pros any way you wanna slice it he is huge risk to not even make a team.
Why would he be drafted higher than 4-7 rounds.
He has a good ceiling but his football ability is limited at this point at LB.
Absolutely has to move positions if he has a dream if staying in the pros more than 1-2 years with his skillset.

Yeah, he wouldn't be higher than the 3rd day. He has been in the LSU program for 3 years now (admittedly not a full season in 2024). Multiple DCs and position coaches have yet to find a position for him. IMO, Perkins has reached his ceiling....that happened in 2022 in the Arkansas game. I don't think he has physically regressed or anything but his weaknesses have been exposed by the opponents' OC. His tackling is very suspect due to not being strong enough and of course by the same token can't defeat blockers. And I just don't see the "it" factor with him which translates into being a football saavy player...instincts to use another word. I don't go as far as my brother saying undrafted but tweeners don't go in the first two days of the draft if at all. He needs to get stronger so he can truly play LB...either here or in the pros. Damone Clark's hard work paid off his last season at LSU.

I would bet that Damone Clark worked his butt off in the gym. I believe that because I saw how much more physical he was his last year at LSU than the previous year. Blake Baker doesn't get credit for Clark getting stronger/tougher. That is exactly what Perkins needs to do. The responsibility is his, not Baker's, not Kelly's etc.

Idk ask every scout of an nfl team. Who knows better than anyone here.

The problem with moscona is you don’t know if he’s in the sports breaking news business or the roof business or the game coin business

I’ve watched football for over 40 years and don’t need to be a scout to tell you if he can’t shed blocks at the College level he certainly isn’t gonna figure it out in the NFL.
