The coaches know. They keep in contact with the players teachers when they are in trouble academically.
I mean they don't necessarily know the outcome yet.

Except he’s not. He’s been average.

I don't think we are thin with or without Emery.
Josh Williams
Armani Goodwin
Noah Cain
Kaleb Jackson
Trey Holly
John Emery*
being 5 deep with highly recruited and/or proven backs is pretty deep. I get why they took Diggs but I don't think its because we are thin at the spot.

I'm taking the mindset that he won't play. If he does, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Emery would be nothing more than another bullet in the gun. I'm not putting my hopes into him living up to the lofty expectations in his 10th year (or whatever year this is).

Maybe but it's more likely Goodwin and Williams have worse injuries than we know. That or that combined with Emery gone is the possibilities.
It's whatever on Emery. If he comes back, great. If he doesn't, bye felicia. You had every opportunity to do something at LSU and never lived up to your hype. This shouldn't shock anyone with Emery. Never had the attitude to be at LSU and just another O wash over. This was the same guy during O's tenure when we were getting blasted and blown out by teams he was on the sidelines laughing at our team for how bad they were playing.

I would bump the other thread but it was anchored.
Final Grades for non-degree candidates are due today. They were due yesterday for degree candidates. The coaches likely know everything now and so does the Emery.
I don't know if no news is good or bad. I figure I will just wait.

We needed depth regardless of Emery’s situation.
Bottom line is I felt I understand he had quality parenting and family as a young man and at Destrahan.
I’d be embarrassed if I was them.
These guys are given the chance of a lifetime and can’t see exactly what’s in front of them. Crazy to me.

So very capable . Crazy how his career has gone. I could see him making
An NFL roster if things fall
Right.

If we can't rely on Emery and the injuries to both Goodwin and Williams continue to linger we absolutely are thin at RB.

Add Williams and Goodwin to the list of RBs that might not be available too.
We may start the season with Cain, Diggs and 2 freshmen.

Someone recently posted the highest rated R. backs of the modern era (stars, 247, Rivals, etc.) , and Emery was top ten.
I had forgotten he was that highly rated. Definitely rated elite.
He never sniffed that rating in college.
We have good backs, but nobody is elite or a game breaker.

He was the number one RB prospect in the entire country in his recruiting class.
I think he may have been a top 5 overall prospect for his class.

He just posted himself in the LSU weight room an hour ago

Emery is the second highest-ranked RB recruit in LSU history, Fournette was the top one.
21st highest all-time recruit at LSU

Please let it go. I told everyone 3 years ago he wouldn’t amount to anything here.
