He just tweeted a picture of him in an LSU uniform saying “God’s got me” and “next season is all mine.” Haven’t heard anything recently about him.

Idk, but we're going to be stacked at guard if he comes back next year.

Sounds good to me. Sonny Shipp said it is trending better and better for him but nothing is set in stone right now. That is all you can ask for right now.

Definitely has the potential to be sick! One of the best of all times!

We need more tackle depth, but if we get that, watch out. Best in a long time.

Getting Ingram back next year would be huge. It would be like getting a commitment again. If we miss out on any other olinemen for this class but get him back would be fine by me.

Hopefully he's cleared and is back next year. I think Damien Lewis might be playing well enough that he'll be drafted.

Jesus. Let's stop with the constant talk of underclassmen going pro simply because they are having a good season. Lewis, Fulton, Burrow, etc. They have no business coming out and doing so would be incredibly short-sighted on their part.

But this is exactly what the players are thinking. "I had a good season, maybe it's time to try the NFL."

We see every year at LSU and many made the wrong decision. I don't many other colleges have guys consistantly enter draft thinking drafted round 3-4 and fall to 6 or 7 or not drafted at all.

I' m not sure who's advising the LSU guys but they need to find other guidance.

Have you even been around the last decade? We have had countless guys go pro who probably shouldn't have.

BTW - a very respected mod on a pay site recently said they expect Lewis to go pro, so apparently he's telling people he's gone.

I agree it's ridiculous some of them that go pro - and if Lewis doesnt have a lights out 2nd half of the season I also dont get it, but this is the world we live in now. These kids are sitting in JUCOs all thinking they will make the NFL, and they are being told that by all the people close to them they are good enough to do it constantly.

False. I know you want these guys to stay, but what is in your best interest is not necessarily in their best interest.

Lewis is a junior and is playing extremely well. If he keeps playing at this level, he will (and probably should, if we're talking about what's in HIS best interest) go to the NFL.

As for Fulton, we're going to have to see how much he improves the rest of the year. He should probably come back, but don't be shocked if he leaves. We should at least be prepared for that possibility. His play now compared to his play in the beginning of the year has vastly improved. If he stays on the same trajectory for the remainder of the season, then he could easily play himself into being a day 2 draft pick.

I don't think either of these guys will fall into the "cautionary tale" category if they leave. Lewis definitely won't.

This is simply untrue. He's graded out pretty consistently this year but it's just been above average-ish. Him and Cush are the 2 best on the OL though.

You are a fool if you don't think Lewis has a good shot of going pro(and rightfully so) and that has zero with him being short-sighted.

No we haven’t. We’ve a few for sure. We’ve also had a few guys go pro, who the rant thought were nuts, and who did well in the pros. The truth is that the guys who would have made it, had they come back, probably made it leaving early. The ones who didn’t make probably would not have even if they had come back.

The only explanation for why similar players at LSU go, and Bama ones stay is that Bama is paying them.

If Lewis goes pro he is a 4th round pick at best.
