Orgeron is worth a million if we could afford it.

I'm thinking 650 though

What? Why do people assume we have monetary issues. That's completely ludicrous.

According to Forbes, LSU is the # 5 most lucrative college program in the country. No financial worries here. Hope they spend our money well .

Both seem happy with their salary----they are bursting their butts with recruiting and oozing with enthusiasm. Why should we give a tinker's damn what they make?

Both are enthusiastic. There may be enriched incentives that create enthusiasm and promote self motivation. A win/win situation.

could you imagine having the salary of a fricking line coach or any other position coach?

they are taking home about a grand a day..every day of the year after taxes.

for les miles it's about 10 grand a day EVERY DAY!!!

thats' more then most of the highest profile CEO's in america make.

insane.

I don't think that having the money to spend is the issue. I think that the willingness or lack thereof wanting to spend the money is the issue.

LSU is ranked so high because our revenues exceed our expenses by a lot. If you raise our expenses we will drop in those rankings. I'm sure we have a budget for coaching, and I'm sure we are struggling to stay within it. Why? Because that's human nature.

It's more salary than "high profile" CEOs, but I assure you, it's not more than their compensation. Most top tier CEOs have compensation packages in excess of $20MM per year - at least four times what Les makes.

Public companies hide the compensation as much as possible, because they have to disclose it. You can still deduce it, but it's not as simple as looking up their salaries. Private companies just back up a money truck and unload.
Highest Compensated CEOs

Someone correct me if that's wrong

He gets 100-300k from the state. The rest comes from TAF, Nike, LSUSP, etc.
