They stacked the LOS because our QB cannot hurt them. Even on 3rd downs they went empty on the backend because he can’t even identify a hot.

i would not doubt they went cover 0. I called this all week. roll everybody up to the line to help against short passes and runs. make him beat you intermediate and deep. then i would blitz him over and over forcing LSU to learn to make hot reads or audible to screens or draws.

They did the same thing to Florida but Richardson played at a level Daniels can’t so they had a chance.

Do you know why we couldn’t run? I’ll give you 3 guesses.
2) we have mediocre running backs. The best option is injured for an extended stretch of games, the guy who gets the most playing time was a walk-on who should be special-teams only. The other options are a slow guy who transferred from Penn State to get more playing time, and a guy who might make a play, but fumbles about every 10th carry. And that guy was out all last season and the first part of this year, so he's rusty.
3) we don't have a consistent passing game to take the heat off, which in part is due to the QB, but also due to the weak OL and weak (yep, I said it) WR group.
4) it's hard to establish a running game when you're behind, often by double digits.
We've trailed significant portions of every game we've played against a P5 opponent.

Ok here is the deal with Nuss. Some of us happen to believe Daniels looks like crap most of the time. It has nothing to do with protection. Simply he isn’t good enough to play qb in the sec period. Sorry if the coach can’t see this yet. He will at some point. Why not try nuss when it is enviable that you will lose. My guess is that there was a promise to get daniels here but either way he needs to try something else. Can’t the freshman qb play in 4 games without losing a red shirt. Sorry to disagree with Coach Kelly but Daniels did not have a good game.

1. Daniels struggles locating open receivers or choosing the correct one.
Malik was open all damn day while they shaded to Boutte. Once BTJ literally had NOBODY guard him, and Daniels hit his favorite check down immediately.
2. You and most other knuckleheads on here have no clue what's happening within the confines of the team and actually think there's a better option, but the coaches just don't care.
Daniels and the passing game WAS in fact the best group of the game today. That ain't saying much, but it's still true. You have people saying he got all his ydg in garbage time, and that's not true. PRIOR to halftime, he was, in fact, 15-20 for 158.
Still not good because frick stats, I see the open guys he misses. But Noosemeyer would get killed back there and none of you have seen anything to truly say he'd be the better choice.
