he would still be a couple weeks away from meaningful playing time

I would debate how much of his playing time over the past 2 years was meaningful, unless you want to count positive and negative performance as meaningful.

What other kinds of performance are there other than positive and negative?
Don't both negative and positive events have meaning, and therefore are meaningful?
English is difficult for you isn't it? But I question your inserting a JJ attack in a legal discussion. Your obsessive hatred is pretty over the top isn't it?

Is that the date for the hearing or the grand jury?

Where did you find that date?

Grand juries only convene on Thursdays, and it's secret, so the first confirmation you'll get of the date is when the bill of imdictment is read that afternoon.

The Advocate yesterday.

A hearing about the motion was held Monday in state District Judge Chip Moore’s courtroom. Moore rescheduled the matter until Sept. 26, saying police needed more time to investigate.

Thank you.

I think the hearing on September 26 is the continued hearing about the shoes and affidavits. The attorneys obtained the documents they were seeking so that hearing will be canceled.

The article states that a hearing date has not been set for Unglesby's motion:
quote:

The attorney for suspended LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson has asked a judge to determine whether there is probable cause to charge his client in a fight outside a bar on Aug. 19.

Attorney Lewis Unglesby said Friday he filed the motion in state district court to expedite the legal process and clear Jefferson of a second-degree battery count he is facing from his alleged role in a brawl outside Shady’s bar on 623 E. Boyd Drive.

“Jordan deserves to have this cloud lifted immediately,” Unglesby said. “He didn’t do it. It’s obvious from all the witnesses that he didn’t do it.”

No hearing has been set.
Emphasis added.

Hopefully, a decision will be made soon on the charges. This case certainly proves the old maxim:

Justice delayed is justice denied.

I feel like his coming back would hurt more than help. The team has moved on without him. Lee has stepped in and proved to be a leader. I think a lot of respect has been lost in Jefferson.

Actually, you imbecile, I will match words with you anytime. And you call me obsessive-has there been a single JJ thread in the past 2 years that you have stayed out of?

You seem a little slow on the uptake, so I'll try to say it as clearly as I can for you.

He is a liability to this team at QB.

I do not hate JJ, I don't even know him. I just don't want him playing QB for LSU. It has nothing to do with hate.

It is not an accident that his attorney is spending his $100K retainer filing motions after every single win that his replacement is contributing to. I have no idea if Unglesby is a football fan, but even a casual observer would be able to tell this team's offense is functioning at a much higher level than it has since 2008. And yes, I meant 2008.

JJ would be nothing but an anchor to this team, just like he always has been. Thank God Miles wouldn't be stupid enough to hinder what we have going. As far as the hearing goes, I wish him the best.

A preliminary hearing is not an evidentiary hearing. He can do nothing other than traverse the four corners of the warrant.

+1 Preliminary Exams only look to see if the officers laid out probable cause in their affidavit in support of the warrant for arrest. A judge signs the warrants after reading the affidavit, so unless a judge had a serious brain lapse this hearing is merely a formality. It will not tell you anything new.

The "team" looks better because it finally has a experience O-line playing as a "unit".The "team" looks better because it has a better defensive "unit" in the secondary. Lee should look better in his 5th year at 22or23.But that don't mean JJ wouldn't have looked better given the present "units" that propeller this team. The fact remains is Lee didn't win the job on the field. He was given the keys to the Cadillac. Let's see if he doesn't wreck it.

Why do most of the players still have a #9 and #10 on their arms on gameday?

My wife is an attorney and she says this is the right answer and that justme should STFU and let the guy that JJ is paying do the law work.
This dude is trying to play matlock on TD.

I wish this would just get to the grand jury soon because I don't think they will indict based on the evidence that has been gathered according to Unglesby's motion and media reports...
