Anyone have any idea when Judge Moore might set the Motion for Preliminary Hearing for hearing?

Anyone have any idea when District Attorney Moore might convene the grand jury for this matter?

Note: The two men who have the power to most directly affect this case are both Moore III. Unusual coincidence.

I have no idea why anyone is concerned with the preliminary hearing, as it has zero effect on anything other than Jefferson's bond obligation.

If it's going to be an evidentiary hearing, I'd love to see/hear the evidence that might be presented, as I'm sure most would.

A preliminary hearing is not an evidentiary hearing. He can do nothing other than traverse the four corners of the warrant.

I don't think I can. My contact has left that office.

Okay, I'm going to assume that you weren't messing with me and tell you that I appreciate it anyway.

Thanks. I take my practice very seriously. There are ethical and professional considerations. I wouldn't mess with you about that.

We almost had a JJ-free first page.

This subject just happens to combine two of my favorite topics: the law and LSU football.

Moreover, JJ is still a member of the team.

It appears that the case against Jefferson is premised solely upon what happened with Lowery. Lowery makes a HORRIBLE witness.

If the state cannot prove each and every element of second-degree battery or if Jefferson can successfully use self-defense to justify any participation by him, I'd love for Jefferson to come back and help the Tigers.

He'd be a terrific asset for the team.

I was curious about JJ's progression during the off season but I think having JJ come back at some point during the season would just cause more distractions and controversy. For the first time in a long time there isn't a qb controversy. We all know JL has the reigns and Mett is the back up. And we are clicking.

Interesting. I assume he isn't practicing with the team? As each week goes by, he becomes farther behind.

Dude has missed almost six weeks of footbtall outside of dressing out and Senior Day his season is over.

At this point, I would think he would still be a couple weeks away from meaningful playing time when reinstate.
