Do Florida baseball players wear sliding shorts, or are the jean shorts enough protection?

They can pitch the water boy and training staff and we still score 2 runs max if they commit errors.

How is the runner safe? I'm pretty sure if the runner interferes with the defensive player making a play on the ball then he should be out. He veered inside the baseline. And fwiw I don't blame the Florida 1st baseman for what he did, he was protecting his pitcher.

The pitcher was in the foul line dirt with the ball trying to apply the tag. The runner went through the pitcher on his way to first base.

UF pitcher was inside the baseline. Runner should have been out. FSU players need to learn fundamental base running

LSU players > FSU players when it comes to running hard to the base

How does that get classified as a "brawl"?

This is a "brawl". 1990 LSU - Florida State Fight

Both of y'all are wrong! The base runner didn't leave the base path at all. He was safe and it wasn't a dirty play at all. The Florida First baseman is a little puss.

Had the FSU guy ran way out of the way to avoid the pitcher he probably would've been called out for avoiding the tag and leaving the base path. The runner didn't lower a shoulder or anything. He has the right to the base path just as much as the defense does. You just can't intentionally cause the defender to miss the ball or prevent them for making the play(ex. Belle in the link above)

Stick to football.

But he did.

He wouldn't it he stayed within the running lane that is drawn out nicely for a runner between home and first.

quote:

He has the right to the base path just as much as the defense does

But the collision was not in the runners lane.

Well Belle wasn't called out, because he was breaking up a double play in the baseline. But I will admit that college rules are different than pro rules when it comes to breaking up double plays. Which brings us back to the original point...

quote:

it wasn't a dirty play at all

When the runner purposely moved from outside the foul line to the inside with the intent of colliding with the fielder it became a dirty play.
