I'll also just add that he didn't just win - he won bigly.

if this were a 21 - 10 game that just seemed like a normal win that would be one thing but he coached a record setting victory last night. i don't understand how you couldn't be impressed by that.

Do not want fisher.

Honestly, I'd rather a guy like O keep as our face and chief motivator. But, if Herman is out there and willing, maybe try to entice him. I don't see Herman sticking around for the long haul and anyone who does is delusional.

You'll have to get a restraining order agains O after you terminate him.

You're damn right if wins 8 games hire him. You obviously don't gravitate to Cajuns and don't understand the culture you think you have a superior intellect because we talk funny. You are an outsider no doubt. My grandma use to call people like you Americans because you don't speak any french at all. Your a Chua'

It's O's job to take and the opening act was a resounding success.

November will be the decider

Paging Chicken - can we get a 3 day ban for folks that are this negative? You know, just to rid the board of the morons for a short time so the rest of us can appreciate the 600 yards of offense.

thanks.

If we win out, we (and the LSU admins) don't even have a choice, so the discussion is moot...The decision is by default... Coach O gets the job. There would be no way you couldn't give him the job.

It only gets hairy/tough if we lose only 1-2 games down the stretch, then we have to decide if he's legitimately in the running for the job. But make no mistake, if he wins out, the job is his and rightfully so.

Now also take into account that under no circumstances will he be getting a 5+ year contract...Maybe a 2-3 year contract at $2-3mil per year.

This was the first chapter of his interview process, he has some more chapters to write.

he has been a bad head coach in the past and even if we run the table, he is not the right person to lead the LSU program. Yes as an assistant, no as head coach.

Coach O said he learned from his past mistakes as ole miss head coach, and trying to do everything instead of letting his assistants coach. He helped USCw win when they were in turmoil, let's see what he does here before we exclude him and say he can't do the job.

Whether or not he is the best coach for the job may be debatable, but there hasn't been anyone more right for the job.

If he runs the table he has earned a contract. If he doesn't get one he will probably be a head coach elsewhere.

Well, the jury is still out on Coach O.

The Tigers just have a brutal schedule ahead, with @Florida, Ole Miss, Bama, @Arkansas, @A&M. Winning ANY of those games will be a challenge for the work in progress known as the Tigers.

What's more, the two "cupcakes", Southern Miss and S. Alabama, have a pulse this year. Each one already has a win over an SEC foe.

You didn't write this very artfully, but I sort of understand your point... I think.

I will be shocked if Oregon is really the answer. I love the guy and it's a hard thing to say, but this team needs more than I believe he can give. We are talking about consistently being in the national title mix playing out of the SEC West. That's a huge challenge.

Go spend some time with your puppy out back. With all the bad vibes around this program going back to last season, I am just going to enjoy a good win like this.
