Any Chance OSU Improprieties Happened Against Miles' Wishes?

Maybe things were happening that Miles was not aware of?
Maybe T. Boone Pickens was partially a rogue booster?
Maybe Miles objected and that is partly why he left?
Maybe Miles tried to clean things up after he became aware of it but could not get the money/corruption out of the program, so he was not liked by Pickens (or whoever was doing it) because they didn't think he was committed to winning?
IF the allegations are true, there are a lot of things that could have happened. The most damning aspect of the story is that the stuff continued long past Miles' tenure there, which means that it was not all coming from him. Now, it could have been initiated by him, but then continued by Gundy. Or, the most likely scenario is that it was being orchestrated by an outside source independent of the coaches, like a really wealthy booster who wanted OSU to compete on the national stage.
The most likely source of any corruption at OSU has to be T. Boone Pickens, just like it was Bobby Lowder at Auburn. Terry Bowden tried to straighten things up at Auburn and he was not allowed to. Then, he takes the fall. Perhaps Miles wanted to get out of there before he went down with the ship?
Seems plausible to me.

Doesn't matter. Only matters that he should have been aware.
This story is a anyway. Some CFB players are dumbasses. What a revelation!

Let's just all hope that none of it happened(Which I highly doubt). Not saying he was involved directly but it isn't like his track record at LSU with players has been perfect.
I just don't want the NCAA to start a vendetta witch hunt against Miles like they did to Dale Brown in which case if you look hard enough in any major program you can find something..

What? Maybe i missed it, but when did we have players come out and say boosters handed them cash in the locker room? Or that over age girls were having sex with under age recruits?
The Hicks thing happened, he found out, we self reported, and a coach got fired. The kid went else where and now starts for the saints.
That's about as perfect as you can get.
The NCAA already looked into us and found nothing. In fact, they applauded LSU.

The answer to the OP is no. The real problem is paying meat heads like Miles, Gundy, Mack Brown, and dozens of others like they are the CEO of Exxon. If those guys didn't have the gig they do they'd be selling insurance somewhere and they know it. They'll do anything to keep the job, all of them, and they'll leave their players and their fans in a heartbeat for the next opportunity.

OSU looks bad....they need t get their house in order with THEIR coach and leave ours the fark alone....
Who cares what might have happened at OSU 13 years ago...damn.
Like getting an amicable divorce and having some a-hole pop up thirteen years later and saying anonymously that he thinks you cheated on your ex-wife and beat your kids...
SI=Nation Enquirer of sports...
I think we are looking at big time lawsuit....

Maybe he knew about it, couldn't do anything about it, and decided to get out with first good job offer.
Maybe this is all BS.

Or maybe Miles isn't the great moralist that those on here make him out to be.

Off the radar with the Bama news today

Anybody hear Miles live on Sirius 91 this afternoon?
Sirius is characterizing the exchange with Mark Packer concerning the OSU revelations as "Miles says they did nothing wrong" when the truth is that Miles gave a non-answer worthy of the best politician. He didn't actually deny anything!

That's my take. I think he plays the game just like most other coaches. He had a live opportunity this afternoon on Sirius to deny knowledge and involvement in everything, but gave some evasive answer about how he was responsible for providing a custodial service for his players.

Miles can talk for an hour and say nothing. He really did miss his calling.

Maybe you are an Alabama turd trying to stir up sh-t.

Or maybe OSU behaved exactly like the rest of college football and Miles sees the stupidity of falling on the sword for the entirety of college football.
Miles 4 Prez 2016.

If they are true, the fact that it went on for 14 years under different coaches, shows most likely boosters took over without coaches knowledge.
