I'm certainly not one to defend Orgeron, but Aranda was HUGE on Sampah. But hey... sometimes recruits don't pan out.

Same.
But I hope he leaves the Unicorn he rode to go to practice.

Sampah was a top 100 guy from out of state that had offers from Bama, Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State....just to name a few. How do you blame Sampah on Orgeron or Aranda leaving when Damone Clark goes from starting 3 games under Aranda to Butkus finalist under Orgeron?

Definitely. He was an Aranda prospect. He’ll end up at Baylor.

I thought Sampah hit the portal a long time ago. I haven't seen him in any practice videos.

What a disappointment and another reason why we are thin at the LB position.

We aren't "thin" at LB. Sampah wouldn't have left if we were thin. He left because he was 4th string. Only two LB's on the field at a time. We have Jones and Penn starting...Baskerville, Perkins, Weeks, Fields, Tolan and we still have Jared Small who was slated to start the UCLA game last year before he was injured. You need to be better aquainted with our roster.

Wasn't he one of the ones taken over Edgerrin Cooper? Yikes.

Yep. He was just a plain old bust. Our LBs actually improved a lot over the course of last year and seemed to be coached pretty well by Baker.
