Another great call to send the runner

If that Jordan being aggressive... he needs to learn how to read the play in the field. Terrible call to send Reaves.

Yeah and if that leads to us not 10 run ruling them we'll have to use more pitching and risk injuries because of it. Just dumb. Even the announcers knew that wasn't deep enough.

We all wish you were the coach. Is that what you want to hear?

It still required an accurate throw, which was made. Worth a gamble.

There was nothing at all wrong with that send. If you are going to cry about stuff, at least understand what you are talking about.

Another unnecessary thread

Do you respond to everyone that starts a negative post with your same response? Even a non baseball coach would have known not to send the runner.

You are showing your ignorance. A runner being thrown out does not mean it's a bad send. Just like a runner being safe doesn't automatically make it a good send. Had there been zero, or one out, then the send would have been bad. Being there were two outs, the send was perfectly fine.
Familiarize yourself with a run expectancy chart. You might be too dumb to really understand it, but at least you will maybe be slightly less ignorant.

I agree that it was a bad decision...but that was also a very poor slide by Reeves.
The throw was pretty weak and I think he scores if that's a halfway decent slide.

There was 1 out. If it was two outs, the pop up would have ended the inning with no throw home necessary. The send resulted in an inning ending double play.

True.

Well bruh... you're showing your ignorance, because it was a shallow fly ball and the better option would be leave the bases loaded and give the next hitter a shot.

We are an aggressive base-running team. More often than not, it works in our favor.

Reaves tagged up with two outs.
1 out. Milam pops up. Fielder catches it. Out #2. Reaves tags up and goes home.
So yes. Reaves was sent with 2 outs.

You think sending braun on similar play was also a bad send then too, correct?
Posted on 5/5/26 at 9:49 pm to notbilly
I assumed that the outs mentioned were from the beginning of the play when the batter swung.
By listing zero as the first number in the quoted sentence, the poster had to be assuming number of outs at the beginning of the play. But, you are correct. At the time of the tag/send, there were 2 outs.

If there was 1 out with the bases loaded, and a fly ball was caught in right field, how many outs are there now?
Why is it that the people always kicking and screaming in these threads have the understanding at the level of a 5 year old?

There were 2 outs and the play was close enough to be reviewed. That right there tells you it was deep enough to send the runner there. Had that ball been slightly off line the runner scores easily. You force them to make that play with 2 outs.
This isn't an opinion, it's a decision backed by absolute facts. Because you are too stupid to understand it is not going to change that.
