Report: Another analyst hiring for #LSU. Former New Orleans Saints and Tulane wide receivers coach Carter Sheridan.

quote:

LSU continues to fill out its staff of analysts by reportedly hiring former New Orleans Saints and Tulane assistant Carter Sheridan, according to a WVUE-TV report. Sheridan was with the New Orleans Saints until 2015 when he left the Saints to rejoin then-Tulane coach Curtis Johnson. Sheridan and Johnson worked together from 2006-2011 when Johnson was New Orleans' wide receivers coach. After a stint at Tulane, Sheridan spent a few years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, St. Augustine High.

Coach O ain’t playing around. He doesn’t want any offensive drop off.

What do these analysts get paid to leave their current positions? I realize they are building/adding to their resumes, but I would think they are making decent money now

Even if they only make 40K a year, that’s enough to hold it down in BR for a year and it could slingshot you to a bigger position pretty quickly.

These analysts are two types. There is the academic tactician that really is not into coaching but is a student of the game. The other is the ones working as a developmental role for bigger and better jobs down the road or resume builders if you may.

The academics probably stick around a program longer and hence get paid more.

Gotta love getting Coach Carter on the staff, bring out that inner Samuel L. Jackson.

In all seriousness, he has to be a good recruiter from that background in N.O.

He’s been at Aug the last few years since CJ and staff were let go at Tulane. He’s a great addition.
