I don't think it's just one singular coach, I think it's mutiple that they have combined, hence the bold to unbolded text. I could be wrong, and I hope so because that coach is an idiot.

These mother frickers could be High School coaches for all we know. On top of that, who gives a crap. I love the A$M paragraph where the "coach" says he can't figure out why LSU was so tough for them, yet in the same breath says they almost beat UF without a negative comment.
If you ask me, these frickers that write this crap know all too well that LSU fans will get their panties in a wad and share this crap all over the internet.

The magazine is just trolling tiger fans and hoping we'll do what we do best- freak out, blame the coach, fight amongst ourselves. Just like everyone is doing over the baseball team. Time to regroup, people.

Didn't bama lose 2 FIRST ROUND DRAFT CHOICES off the oline? Most nfl teams don't have 2 first rounders on the oline. Yes they have guys coming in, but 2 first rounders? Doubt it. That will make a difference. Manziel will not have a year like 2012.
Tigers go 11-1, lose to GA early.

Funny.
We hold the NC to 40 yards of total offense in the entire second half until we let them off the hook at the end by missing the FG or not trying for the game-clinching first down.
And that AVERAGE QB torched the NC defense for almost 300 yards, and should have been allowed to torch them one more time with a minute left and the ball on the Bama 28.
Funny a few plays is the difference between possibly us playing ND for the NC and the Toothless Teabaggers lucking into it...

If you think LSU football is in a decline then go ahead and jump ship now.
2014 and 15 recruiting will keep us at the top for another nice run.

I don’t really know why LSU was so hard for them. You’re really limited what you can do against A&M’s offensive line. They only run about eight plays or so. It’s just so fast.
Sounds clueless to me.

Has to be Saban, right?
Why would Saban trust his reputation to some beat reporter in the preseason?
Seems unlikely to me.

Definitely not Saban.
It's either Sumlin or Freeze with a slight possibility of Mullen.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if their opinion is a steaming pile of $h!t.
I find it funny that he makes light of Chavis' scheme when the fact of the matter is he is still going to beat almost everyone almost all of the time with his simple scheme.

John Chavis, he’s done the same stuff schematically for what feels like forever.

My money is on Freeze.
nah, Freeze is the same guy that called out the press publicly about alleged recruiting violations during this past summer because they raked in a Top 5 class after how crappy they've been.
my money is on that idiot Mullen up in Starkville. could possibly be Saban as well, but not Freeze or Spurrier.

If Chavis' scheme is so simple, why are his defenses consistently so good? If you've got the horses, there's no need to get overly complicated with scheme - just let your better athletes dominate. Besides, college schemes (both on O and D) aren't that complex - there's limited practice time to install too much complexity.
The true test of a coach is when he only has average or below-average talent. Then he must adjust his scheme to the talent that he has to maximize their effectiveness. But if Chavis has the studs, no need to out-think yourself.

I say we're going to lose four games this year. What say you?

Any coach that wants to remain anonymous is a P___Y. Therefore you can completely discount the comment as propaganda.

Defensive minded Coaches study Offenses, so it wouldn't be Mushmouth. Also, usually these articles go to Asst Coaches, not HC's. Notice Athlon didn't say HC. It's Somebody's OC.
Oh, and EFF DEM!

Did he see our last recruiting class? Decline?
Wishful thinking!!!
We signed two of the fastest players in NCAA history in Jerry Brazil, and Rashard Robinson . ( as long as Robinson passes that course) not to mention all the other great players.

this has been nothing more than LSU fans feeding the troll.

This has been discussed before. Too many people assume "coach" means head coach. I would wager it's an assistant coach. Most head coaches are too experienced with the press to make statements like this (even if off the record).
