LSU averaged 402 yards per game which put us right at 70 mark for all teams.
Depends on how you consider "total offense"
Looking at total offensive stats, we finished 59th.
The YPG stat also doesn't account for teams with the same yardage.
So, in total offense we finished 59th
In YPG, among teams (not ranking) we finished 69th.
Just choose the one that fits your narrative.

I'm pretty sure that's what the overwhelming majority of people do. As for myself I think improvement has to be shown this season. I think that's what we've been building for.
It took us a while Rog... but we seem to have finally found some common ground. I can stand behind this as well.

said that I've been critical of Les offense. Keep spending time thinking that you're actually accomplishing something. You're seriously pathetic.
spent about 130 seconds proving you're a liar.
time well spent

If you were stunned at the level of vitriol directed at other people in my posts, you might want to open your eyes and read a few of yours again.

Burrow threw for almost 2900 yards last year in a less than ideal situation
I mean he had a 7OT game that inflated those stats. I think that made up for a lot of those less than ideal situations.

Earlier me and lunatic almost got into an argument over baseball but we realized it was a miscommunication we apologized to each other and that was that. This kindve thing could never happen with Ben involved. Rick and I used to fight like cats and dogs over Miles, so did earl and I but they were disagreements of opinion, we didn’t argue facts, nobody held grudges and now we get along just fine because we’re not high school girls like Ben and his posse.
Ben has to be related to O.
no one knew who he was before O was hired and he for sure had no problem with the last coach being personally attacked let alone bringing up actual football problems.

Earl, whats your prediction for the offense in 2019?
frick Roger, how many times are you gonna ask me this question? I've answered this question for you before. If you want to know what I said, look it up in your post history.

you can actually have a cordial discussion with Trout and First cut but as soon as they remember that you dont worship O and Ensminger they will make personal attacks towards you.

haven't turned. I still have rope and pitchfork in hand. I just choose to believe....until proven otherwise....that weve made a concerted effort to change the offense.
There's no reason to believe it wont be better.
People like Groupee...who suck at life and whose whole family has probably killed themselves already....prefer to wallow in anger and resentment...instead of looking forward to a new season with renewed optimism.
If you support this line of thinking, that would make you a miserable mofo as well. Go for it.
you know I love you red but it's perfectly fine for you to post what you want when you want. why dont you have that same logic for other posters?

turned into an "us vs them" fest. Those who want the coach to fail, vs those who want the coach to succee
this isnt a thing Rodger and you know it. no real lsu fan wants lsu to lose because O is the coach.

Regardless of what they claim, they do indeed want the current guy out.
even if this were true why would that bother you? people wanted the last coach out and he had actually put skins on the wall at lsu.
what's wrong with lsu fans thinking O will never win a title at lsu?
did you think Miles was going to win another title at lsu?

Welp, you caught me ben. I'm the rant bully. You and ole Jeaux never flung insults at me like calling me a fricking drunk or lush or just an idiot in general.
It's not like I was just voicing my opinion about the coaching staff or the team and their results. I was way out of line for having a different opinion than the rest of you. It's all my fault.

quote:Exactly how has he proven that?
and he's already proven that he's not the type of coach who can do more with less
Clearly when he was at Ole Miss, he wasn't ready for the job. At USC, he took exactly the same team and did more with them than the guy that he replaced. Same as interim at LSU. I'm not saying that he's proven that he CAN do more with less, but he hasn't proven that he can't yet.
Also, why would we even want that? Guys that have proven they can do more with less are either bad recruiters or stuck in a bad recruiting situation. We want a guy who can do more with more.
quote:Why not? Every season, coaches do things that they have never done as head coach anywhere. Should everyone in Norman have not been optimistic with Lincoln Riley?
I can't pretend to be completely optimistic that Orgeron will do something in 2019 that he has never done as a head coach anywhere
If you can't pretend to be optimistic, it's not because he hasn't done if before. It's because you don't believe he can, which is fine and even fair. After the disaster at Ole Miss, he's earned the additional skepticism.

Roger's got it in his head that just because people have doubts if o can get the job done, they want him to lose.

That's the other thing that's puzzling. This same thing happened under Miles (perhaps Saban as well), now o, and it will probably happen under the next coach as well. Not everyone is gonna be happy with who the coach is.
I really believe Roger just wants to have all this conflict and drama to permeate throughout the rant.

Probably not nearly as much as you think considering all drives started from the 25, some scores resulted from field goals, and every down wasn’t a passing play.

Well, the people in question claimed at one point that he had "practically another game" which shows how much they actually care. He had 71 yards passing I believe.
That's 5.5 yards per game over the 13 game season.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. I didn’t believe it was a substantial amount, but couldn’t find a box score that showed stats prior to the end of regulation.

I think Ben set a record for most post in a row and all of them were “poor me” post, his go to for the start of everyday.
