I’m born and raised in BR. Lsu grad. Was in Omaha in 09. And Mainieri can gtfo. Appreciate everything but it’s time for a change.

Walker is spot on.

Well, I don't know if it was him, but one of them said PM replaced Skip. It was Smoke though that replaced Skip. So that part was off.

PM has been a really good coach for LSU, but the past two seasons have up until now been disappointing. LSU has a gigantic recruiting advantage with its fan base (having one of the 3 or 4 fan bases that actually put a lot of fans in the stands), the tradition and the baseball weather. LSU is basically set up to be elite.

And still won and got work out of a kid that we desperately will need to have any chance at run. Great move by Mainieri.
The baseball dumb is rich on this site.

Well, the coaches are ultimately responsible for the results.

Unless his name is Ed Orgeron right? Oh, or Steve Ensminger.

Dave Aranda, Will Wade and Paul Mainieri (coincidentally the two of the three most proven coaches on campus, and a clear up and comer) are to blame for every single loss.

Manieri's passion is just not there.

In a game last week that everybody gasped when the replay showed that our guy was likely saved at second, CPM did nothing, no energy, no challenge, no emotion.

PLAYERS feed off the coaches's emotion, and there is none.

But he wasn't safe.

This might be the dumbest argument on this board. He acts exactly the same way he always has. It's ridiculous and the rally cry for idiots who can't think of legit criticisms against Mainieri. Stop being a sheep.

It was Walker, and he said Smoke was in between there.

I'll reserve my opinion after the season is over. Everything that was set as a goal is still attainable except for hosting a super. If this team figures it out and makes a run anything is possible.

CPM was never a fiery guy. I don’t understand why people all of a sudden now think it’s a problem. His coaches are the emotional ones while he was the guy that took everything with the same emotions and focused on the game as a whole not the pitch at the moment.

Yes last year was a disappointment. Yes this year is slightly better but not where LSU can be or where we should expect to be. They are still going to host a regional which is good with a chance to be great if you go on a run in the NCAA tournament.

But it's a mid-week game, so it doesn't mean anything.

Right? Right?

The amount of stupidity on this forum is appalling.

you are right, never a fiery guy, but certainly had more passion than now and it at least, it would come out on occasions.

He was helped by other coaches who did, and I do not see any of them taking that role openly now.

He also had more leaders on the team so he had that luxury.

In my profession I've worked my way to being the "coach". I have a team of guys that I am in the role of training and making sure they do their job. It relates to sports BIG TIME. If one of my guys screws up and we "take a loss" who the frick do you think will be the first person blamed?????. Enough with this bullshite excuse. Same shite with Les.....oh it's not his fault. Well yes he may not have made the mistake but it's his fault...and it's Pawls fault too.
