Especially being at home, the Tigers can beat TTU

Stick with our man to man defense and we’ll have a chance to win every game from here on out.

Hard to take writers seriously when they can't even tell you where a basketball game was played. We played Kentucky at Rupp not in BR.

Looks like Erik has reached his ceiling in sports reporting at the daily advertiser.

I'm tired of the haters out to get us.
How about just win important games (and actually play some defense along the way), and stop worrying about what some media pundit thinks.

How the hell is Texas Tech favored by only 2?
Bet the farm on Tech.
Well coached team vs a very poorly coached team.
It's a recipe for a shellacking.

Guessing you don’t gamble. When a line is too good to be true... it normally is.

No doubt. Look we’re never going to be a Virginia level defense but before this season playing exclusively man to man in the half court Wade has won an SEC title, finished 2nd, won 28 games in that title season and had major upsets like beating national runner up Michigan in his first season. Since he’s changed to the matchup zone our D had fallen to abysmal level. We were susceptible to anybody with a pulse having a good night shooting the ball. Since halftime of Kentucky we’ve gone back to mostly playing man to man and every defensive metric has improved drastically. We’ve given up an average of 33 points per half and we’ve held teams to below 28% from 3. We now have a large enough sample of both styles to see that one is much more productive than the other and if we stick to it we’ll look more like the teams we’re used to seeing under Wade.

I'm gonna go ahead and warn fans now...LSU isn't beating Tech tomorrow.

That West Virginia just beat Texas Tech probably did LSU no favors

This is on point.
We beat Texas Tech with a fairly good defensive game if we don't panic when they make a few runs.

We miss Skylar Mays terribly. A 4 year starter. A leader. A captain. The heart & soul of this team. Virtually no one is talking about how much we miss Sky. He was as important to this program as Ricky Blanton was in the late 80s. Its not Wade's fault that Memphis completely curtailed our recruitment of Cisse or that Penn Johnson just up and left. We don't have a viable center. We don't have a true PG. And Cam has been in a terrible slump. Wade has tried to mask our defensive weaknesses by using a half court trap that works sometimes. We are not a fast or quick team. That hurts you in bball. Almost every team we played has been quicker than us. You cannot teach quickness. We just don't have it except for Gaines & Leblanc. I'm not trying to make excuses. I'm just pointing out the obvious. We have talent sure but we also have shortcomings which I just laid out. Screw Katz. Tomorrow will be the best team we play all season. I hope our guys are ready !!

I'm surprised it's only a 2-point spread with how LSU has played the last 3-4 games.
They have the talent to play with or even beat Tech on a really good day, but at this point it's hard to know what you will get out of LSU with the weak rebounding and defense since the Arkansas game.

Once again dont need to read; the offense is 3 men deep, if that. I still love the tigers and wade, im rooting for them every second, but dont see it going as deep after watching the past 5 games. Hopefully oneal, gaines, and leblanc find their comfort in the game. But smart, thomas, and watford have to spread the ball. Looks too much like nba ball.

Carsten Edwards was a much more consistent shooter/player than Cam Thomas has ever been. Not even close. Cam needs to mature to be in this conversation

Teams without a rim protector/inside presence are always inconsistent. Kentucky was much bigger than LSU. Out rebounded LSU 46 to 31... on the road you are not going to win any of those games. Anyway without some sort of rim protector up grade LSU is a good not great team

LSU shoots the ball well (>45%) we have a chance. We need to hit ten 3's and we have to stop missing easy shots in the paint. And... we better be ready to rebound for 40 minutes. TT works tf out of the boards all game long.
