nice finish for loupe. he cashed $272,800 this week for a season total of $396,660! Usually the end of the yr top 125 is around $750k so another $350k and he gets his card back

he has full status so he can play in any event not wgc or majors

Don't quote me on this but he can't play in invitation only tournaments as well correct (Unless asked of course)? Isn't jack's tournament like that?

The Houston tournament this weekend is an invitational. They invite top 5 from this tournament so Loupe got his invite for it. Even with your card there are certain invite only tournaments that you can get invites for from all sorts of means.

Nice finish for the Loupe. With him and John Peterson, LSU has a couple nice young tour players out there. That can't hurt when David Toms was basically the only notable LSU golfer in the last 15 years.

just needs to get his pre shot routine to become shorter. will cost him later on in bigger tournaments if he doesn't.

The Shell Houston OPEN. I thought the OPEN part meant that it wasn't an "invitation only" event?

During the coverage this past weekend they said a top 5 would give Loupe an invite to the tournament. I didn't do any research past that though.

I know Peterson has exemptions to almost everything because he won the Web.com Tour Playoff.

Better speed up that routine

This. He's hard to pull for playing that slow. Although he was somewhat faster on Sunday.

This is all stemming from dumb arse Johnny Miller. Yes he played slow on Saturday, because he was nervous as shite. Then when the announcers make as big deal about it as they did, everyone takes notice. On Sunday he was back to normal, and the announcers even acknowledged it

They were trashing him pretty hard on the wrap up show Sunday. They said he brought a "rowdy" disrespectful gallery. I didn't watch the end of the round Sunday, but apparently someone (who they assumed was there following Loupe) yelled in Bowditch's backswing on 17 which is pretty dick. Pretty excited to watch him play this weekend in Houston though

So is Loupe the Happy Gilmore of the Pga? Will he bring the tour to a new level?

This would be awesome.

Loupe is known for his long drives (I think he had the longest drive of the weekend at 329). I heard a lot of LSU chants and even some 4 note chants (duh duh duh da) but it was always after he shot and never seemed disrespecteful. Whoever yelled in Bowditch backswing was bad but I don't think that had anything to do with Loupe.

Yeh but if you listen to Johnny Miller or go read twitter Loupe is the new golf antichrist. Which makes me want to support him even more. Screw 'em all but us

Amen. I've been more of a Peterson follower because I've hung out with him a few times at the bar, but Andrew has been fun to follow. It's tough cause he is pretty hit or miss, but he looked really good this weekend and I'm hoping it can springboard him into a string of good play.

There's a lot of truth to that.

The 329 shot was with a 3 wood.

His drive on the 18th on Sunday went 346.
