An unfamiliar thing happened during Saturday’s game.

We had a head coach that was able to coach up and correct our QB on the field during the game! Following the instructions that he gave Daniels to stop opening up his shoulders, Daniels proceeded the throw strikes. I can say I’ve not seen that at LSU before…

I noticed this too -- he was heavily involved coaching Daniels and I think that's great.
I also noticed he was holding up his hand on the last possession of the game; cueing Daniels when to snap the ball -- on the TD run on the previous drive, Daniels snapped the ball with 30 seconds left on the play clock -- it worked out great but I don't think Kelly wanted that.

Yep, was nice seeing the head coach coach.

And adjustments were made at halftime.
This is uncharted waters.

That was beautiful on both accounts. What a difference Kelly is.

in late game situations when you need to milk the clock, this shite drives me crazy. have some situational awareness. im confident CBK will get it corrected tho

This even happens on the professional level -- I don't get it either; it seems so obvious. I agree CBK will fix it.

He literally corrected it on the very next drive.

Is this suppose to be a knock on previous coaches? Because if so, it’s not a very good one.

So a coach actually coaching in game, and having his staff make adjustments as compared to the previous coach isn't a good thing and a knock on the previous coach. Huh....

Kelly has been involved in offensive coaching though so it would make sense that he helps the QB. O was a career d-Line coach. You think he should’ve been coaching Burrow on his mechanics or something? I’m sure O did a lot of in game coaching with the D-Line.

One of the things the team has been lacking since aranda left, at least defensively

Yeah like switching to an attacking four man front when u recruited for a 3 man front for 4 fricking cycles.

Which is an even bigger knock, O was never qualified for the job

Yeah that was stupid, but that’s not what the OP was talking about at all. He was specifically talking about coaching the QB’s mechanics during the game.

I won’t argue that. But that’s a knock on the AD.

Try again.. How about a compliment to the current HC of our Tigers? And a testament to how great of a coach he appears to be.

The broadcasters mentioned that Daniels was far more on track with more than 15 seconds on the play clock, gets real busy with the feet after that mark.

Oh I’m sure he did, especially in 2020 and 2021.
