Ed Orgeron walked into T.J. Ribs on Wednesday night using the front door — far away from that back door Les Miles used to slip through each week

quote:

First caller tells Coach O "to let it rip on Saturday night"
O: "We will, I promise you that."

quote:

O on offensive philosophy: "I really liked the offense we had at USC, won championships. Started game throwing football to loosen D."

quote:

Coach O: "I believe in taking shots."
Says he'll go four verticals with four wide receivers

quote:

"I know we're going to tweak a couple things on offense ... Do the most we can in one week."

quote:

Caller to Orgeron: "For the first time in #LSU football history, we have a coach that doesn't have an accent."

quote:

Caller invites O over for crawfish ettouffee at the house.
"I eat it for breakfast," O says.

quote:

Think Orgeron is cutting down on #LSU's practice time? Tigers ran 30 plays today as opposed to the usual 80 under Miles.

quote:

Ed Orgeron said LSU practices 2-minute drill on Monday and Thursday. Ought to use it more.

quote:

Everyday has a different theme. Monday is about the truth in the game that just happened.

quote:

Coach O on special teams: "It's going to be a work in progress." Indicates there will be some changes there

quote:

I'm with the kicking off into the end zone. We're going to rotate our running back. We have a great stable of RBs.

quote:

If the players believe in the offense and the defensive scheme you will have success.

quote:

"We're going to tweak the offense enough that you're going to see a change this week."

quote:

Coach O on bringing back former players: "Motivation is key." Says players "had a little more pep in their step."
Will have weekly speakers

quote:

"We have an outstanding defensive staff led by one of the best defensive coordinators I've ever been around in Dave Aranda."

quote:

Coach O on QB competition: "I think that Danny has earned his spot as the starting quarterback."

quote:

Ed Orgeron: I don't think (Harris) has become the QB he expected to be.

quote:

Ed Orgeron said nickname Bebe means "baby of the family" My father was the youngest of 13. Got it from him.

Hope we see more of that inside zone split from the 3 wide offset TE spread look. We were ripping yards from it

How many times have we seen "deer in the headlight" looks on our players' faces when they realize the game plan isn't going to work?

That may change Saturday.

In a coaches meeting in 2011 after the Bama victory, Miles asked the coaches for suggestions. Ensminger said to give the guys a day off to rest there legs. Miles blew him off and said next.

The team has played on tired legs for years at the end of the season. It's pretty clear Coach O has seen that.

like we were running 90 minute practices, running 90 plays during the week when we'd run like 20 different plays during a game?

like assistant coaches were clearly not being listened to

like our former starting QB thought he was getting shitty coaching?

like our players seem to think that watching a ton of film on opponents is a crazy idea because they weren't doing it before?

I have a feeling we see a lot less fullback, which is fine with me. Short yardage situations and goal line is alright.

Thanks for the cliffs.

Great things coming from the coach so far. Sounds willing to adapt. Really excited to see how this team grows!

I learned it or knew about it way before, however since Sunday it was just brought out in public by the reporting and the changing of our players attitude. Wow, 80 plays in a practice and all we could get was around 50 per game!

No wonder we looked tired all the time and someone earlier said the looks on the players' faces knowing that the play called will not work

This awesome conversation and honesty just solidifies my disdain for miles. The fact the staff feels the need to flip the script/change so much stuff tells you exactly that miles didn't care what his assistants thought, it was going to be his offense and his way and you need to "execute" it.

Feel like I've just received a blood transfusion and finally coming back to life as a tiger fan. Less drained me
