An open letter to Joe Burrow from an Old Tiger

Joe, first let me say thanks for making the decision to come to LSU.
In my opinion, you will be looked upon in future years as one of the main components of the return of football championships to LSU. You will never be looked upon as the most talented QB to play for the Tigers, but you will always be looked upon as one of the grittiest competitors we have ever had. Your rise from the deck in the Fiesta Bowl after the cheap shot in the first quarter was Tommy Hodson like. I have never seen a team on a sideline respond any stronger when one of their own was cold cocked, and that is a reflection of what your teammates and coaches think about you, and the respect they have for you.
Have fun this year, Joe. Continue to lead. Let younger QB’s see what can happen at LSU when a more wide open offense is paired with our always solid defense. Continue to lay the groundwork for not only a great year in the present, but a legacy of greatness in the future.
Thanks again from an Old Tiger.

Just watched replay of Florida game.
Two drops on really easily catchable balls, on last drive for win.
My point is, Joe gets a bad rap. He had a ton of dropped balls this past year, and in critical down and distant situations.
He needs to get the recognition he truly deserves.

I’d try emailing him, or contacting him via Instagram. You realize he doesn’t read tRant, right?

I don’t care about national championships. I just care that these boys can share their pride for LSU and receive an education while doing it. Anyone who’s there for any other reasons can go play for NICK SATAN.

I always cringe when I see this in a thread title....and almost every time, what follows is cringe-worthy.

Damn, not nearly as long of a letter/post as I thought it was going to be. Thanks for that. Short, concise, and and to the point. Upvote just for that. Geaux Jeaux, Geaux O and Geaux Tigers.

Now, here is my letter to Joe...
Joe,
You and this team have all of the pieces needed to win a national title. Go make history and earn your spot in Tiger Football Imortality alongside the greats to ever play ball here at LSU. Do it for Louisiana and the great people that call her home. Do it for LSU. Do it for the team and your team mates. Most of all, do it for you and your family. Just win baby. Forever LSU. Geaux Tigers.
frick Bama.
