We all knew hell would freeze over and the world would end if LSU ever had a all-time Heisman QB with a greatest offense of all time.

Welp - it happened.

And then came 2020...

So we were kinda right.

With that said - I'd be happy with Brennan being half that productive - that's how awesome we were last year.

That was a once in a lifetime team. We probably need to NOT compare this team to last years.

You just made your point with a comparison

True - but when I say "compare" them I mean "comparable expectations"

Right now I'm the least excited about LSU football starting than I've ever been.

Part of it is the pandemic (both COVID and BLM) and the other part is know that nothing can eclipse 2019. It was the ultimate zenith.

Beyond surreal. Still not sure most of us can totally comprehend what happened.

Not just every LSU team will be compared to last season, but every college football team.

LSU and Burrow set the standards for greatness in the current format and season length. Unless a major shake up happens with the playoff or something else, last season is the bar.

I think Leach said that a 10 game only SEC schedule was going to be the toughest schedule ever. Go back and last year, we basically played that PLUS Texas, OU and Clemson. Never forget Mike Leach, never forget.

For MSU maybe.

LSU really only plays three good teams. I guess you could say four if you want to include A&M, but most here would laugh at the notion of Fisher and Mond being any real threat.

This year would struggle to crack top 5 in toughest schedules in recent memory.
