Then to add to the complete stupidity of it LSU was right in the thick of things in the West at that point.

Lets not act like they HAD to sweep Auburn and State to have this miraculous come back. Taking 2 of 3 from Auburn and State still wins LSU the West.

This team didn't look like they were going to be a lock for a national seed at every point during this season, but they were never out of it at any point. Its doom and gloom posters like you that run out and shite on the coaches and players at every available oportunity you get that makes this place almost unbearable at times.

This is stupid. The team was consistently playing like shite, or at the least was playing inconsistently, at that point. They've improved greatly. I find no fault in people calling that out then.

The point is all of these morons overact after every single game all year long when we still controlled our own destiny

That linked thread is not an example of why LSU has the most knowledgeable fans in the world.

I just can't wrap my head around fans comparing Maineri and Miles. literally the only thing they have in common is one national title.

If Les Miles led the most consistent winning football program in the country over the last 5 years, he certainly wouldn't have been fired.

Maineri is a douche, and he may very well be overrated as a coach, but he's a much better baseball coach than Miles is/was a football coach.

And when they get bounced in the regional, what will you say then?

i will cross that bridge if and when it happens instead of making idiotic non-factual statements.

Don't see that happening, but anything is possible. Honestly my fear is facing MSST in the super. Statistically hard to keep getting the W's over a team like that, their due

At that time, he was spot on. Leaders stepped up and it changed the team, which helped PM out of his funk as well

All good

Even though it's hard to compare

I had to check to see if I posted there

I'll be the first to admit that I was extremely worried about the Tigers this year; we definitely got into an early/mid-season funk, and nobody was living up to the billing. Losing to TCU and Texas Tech early on was a little concerning, constantly dropping midweek games was very disappointing, and Lange wasn't the stud we expected him to be, for the first half of the year.

Given that we had just replaced the football and basketball coaches, it wasn't too much of a stretch to think Manieri was in trouble if things didn't finish well. We had an incredible end to the season coupled with a SEC tourney win; had we finished like South Carolina, we might be looking for a new coach.

No, he wasn't. Jesus Christ.

I think they're really REALLY bad honestly. They have no talent, especially on offense,

Completely wrong.

quote:

A lot of you fans intelligently said after the sweep against Bama let's see how they do against South Carolina, instead of claiming that their mojo is back.

Fair. But he didn't see what they did against USC. We lost game 1 and everyone melted down. Clearly there was zero way a team was capable of losing game 1 and winning the next two.

quote:

They'll likely lose this series anyway, and then lose against Auburn and Mississippi State. This team has some serious serious issues. Also Mainieri is becoming Les Miles 2.0 for sure. You can down vote me all you want, but you know that's true.

Damn near every word in this is wrong.

The same people are still going to clamor that losing the midweek games still mattered.

It's funny how the guys that post all the original bone head material try to avoid it by calling people lame for bringing it back to light. If you spew presumptuous ignorant shite on a message board, there's nothing wrong with getting called to the carpet for it on that same message board. Also, I imagine he just bookmarked your thread when he read it and thought, "Wow, this guy is a buffooon."
