Hell, I'd go to a game if I had an English accent. I'd get laid multiple times a night.

Thanks so much to everyone that's posted - I really appreciate your help and advice. I apologise to anybody that has asked me direct questions to which I haven't responded - I first posted as i left work and have been travelling ever since so no chance to respond. I'll find a computer at my hotel when i finally arrive and log back in then.

Thanks for all the tailgate invitations - I'll try and find you all!

PS To all the doubters - this is 100% genuine!

Geaux Tigers!!!

My boss is a Brit. He's lived in Atlanta for 4-5 years, now. He has two teenage sons who have worked really hard to get rid of their British accent. He doesn't have the foggiest idea why his boys did that, seeing as they would be babe magnets if they would keep their original accents. I suspect they'll get their accents back when they go to college...

I may be mistaken. It could be Alabama singing the song.

But it should be Doug Kershaw.

Either he is legit or a linguist....no one in America spells it that way. It's apologize here, they spell it with an "s" over there.

I think LSU plays the Mel McDaniel version (and Don Williams originally recorded, written by Bob McDill - both Texans - not Kershaw). However, sometimes I do think it sounds like Alabama.

Doug does perform the song live, but I don't know if he has a recorded a cover...

I had my suspicions that you were a "Chelsea boy." You were always just a little bit too ahead of the curve on hairstyling and other men's fashions...

A buddy of mine in the Navy used to fake an Australian accent we went out to the bars/clubs. Greatest wingman ever.

Definitely NOT the greatest wingman, however, because he was too much of a comedian always trying to push the envelope too damn far. It sure made for a hell of a lot of laughs though, especially that time in NYC when he had everyone in a Manhattan bar angry at some guy who was "ignorantly" questioning that he was really French!

When I read the original post, I read it in an English accent. Anyone else do that?
