Thank you all again for the information / invitations! What an amazing response!

I rolled into Baton Rouge about midnight last night after over 24hours travelling. Feeling a little dazed.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm so sorry if i haven't replied to anyone. I'm technologically retarded (no flash phone with internet /email!) so I'm relying on getting occasional access to the sole computer in my hotel to check the post. I'm really grateful for all the info.
Thanks so much to everyone that's posted - I really appreciate your help and advice. I apologise to anybody that has asked me direct questions to which I haven't responded - I first posted as i left work and have been travelling ever since so no chance to respond. I'll find a computer at my hotel when i finally arrive and log back in then.

Thanks for all the tailgate invitations - I'll try and find you all!

PS To all the doubters - this is 100% genuine!

Geaux Tigers!!!
I'm a very young at heart 39 years old if that helps you to direct me places!

I generally lean to a younger rather, than older crowd at home.I still get ID'd everywhere in the USA which makes me feel very young indeed!

I love football (not soccer!). Whilst I love the NFL, there's something about college football that I find fascinating. We don't have a college sports scene in England(games are watched by 3 men and the occasional dog!)so these vast on campus stadiums are amazing, as is the pageantry that goes with it all. I needed a college team to follow and having visited and been a huge fan of Louisiana, LSU were an obvious choice.

Accusations of bandwagon jumping are harsh Mr Arizona! For ten years I have been staying up all night watching the games online - or following a dot on a stats screen in the early days of the internet!
I am a huge LSU fan from England.I fly out to Baton Rouge tomorrow in readiness for my first game at Tiger Stadium. I will be in Baton Rouge Friday and Saturday and then head down to New Orleans for a couple of days.

I would be really grateful if you guys can give me any pointers. Best bars (I enjoy a few beers!) Places to see? (or avoid!), how early do I need to get to the game and go into the stadium? Is there stuff going on throughout Friday, or does the fun start on Saturday? You get the idea - absolutely any advice would be gratefully received.

Geaux Tigers!!!!
