Just briefly looked at the stats comparing him to..

Burrow
Tebow
Tua
Cam
Young
Manziel

His totals are better. Someone in the media that covers LSU should get on this.

I'm not sure how much of an argument it is in terms of personal performance. If we even had a middling defense people would be talking up this team among the greats. The offense has had to overcome an all-time terrible LSU D.

An easy argument can be made that without the wins, it’s just not completely true.

If a rb gets 2000 yds in a season but the team loses four games, do you not recognize the rb?

Closest to Jayden was Manziel (3,706 passing/1,400 rushing). Manziel had far less passing TDs though.

when you're defense is awful, you get to throw the ball a lot more. the stats are great but you need to understand they're less valuable.

He had a monster bowl game that year, over 500 yards and 4 TDs.

I Think that some credit needs to go to the receivers! They made some incredible catches. Daniels definitely is awesome, but there is no "I "in team.

Like the best "RB" avg/carry in the nation too. It was off the charts.

Why not post the stats so that we can argue?

It really might be the single worst D fielded in the SEC in 25 years. I know we complained about 3rd and Chavis for years, but seriously - this year it was like "oh, it's 3rd and 12 - not only will they convert, but it'll actually be easy".

TAMU's last TD yesterday was such an abortion. Comically poor by Speights and Ryan.

This. Kind of sad how this place kind of over looks just how great Nabers and Thomas were. Daniels had a great year but let’s not act like Thomas and Nabers aren’t a huge part of the reason he did.

I still can’t find a place online that shows how much of Nabers and Thomas yards were YAC.

I'm still taking Joe if I had to pick.

Joe also had a 1,000 yard RB to carry the ground game.

I would take Joe also but what Cam N did his year at Auburn was pretty amazing also.
