Well junior....IF, all ticket prices were based on demand/value, then LSU and all other programs would only be able to get $10 per for all the really crap games ! Selling season tickets is how they get around the disparity of game values and the season ticket holder paying tradition fees, membership fees, seat licenses etc., etc., etc. is how they get around it. That's why individual tickets to the best games are FAR higher priced.....understand ?

No, you are abiding by the law.

Because it (scalping) is illegal.

Can you run for president? We need more people like you.

kind of the same way, and on the opposite end of the spectrum I always had a fist full of extra tickets during the Hallman/DiNardo fiasco era, and I would never discount them or give them away, I'd always say that if whomever didn't want to pay I'd just put mustard on them in the stadium and eat them with my hot dog

No but it's strange you want attention for it.

Just sold my 4 tickets for Lambeau to a friend at face value.
Think that's great, in fact, let me know if you are selling your Alabama tickets.

So is speeding.
So is bank robbery. Do you rob banks?

I would never scalp an LSU fan nor sell my season tickets to a fan of the opposing team, no matter (turn down for) what.

Good answer.

The thing that puzzles me is who are these people that grossly overpay for tickets when they are readily available for face value? A couple of weeks ago, LSU's ticket office was selling tickets to the game. Tomorrow, Wisconsin's ticket office is selling tickets. Are people really that misinformed and/or too lazy to follow when ticket sales are announced and just accept going right to the reseller market?

If face value was all you paid for your tickets that's fine. But you pay a hell of a lot more. They couldn't build the south endzone for face value.

I've sold Bama tickets twice at face value and will do the same this year. Not face + TAF donation....face value. That being said, the only time I paid more than face value for a ticket was the '03 national title game vs OU.

I will be, but will offer them to friends first. If nobody can use them I will have them on the ticket exchange for face value.

While I would hold no animus toward you if you sold them for a profit(so long as it's not obscene), I applaud your attitude.

Economics should not enter into friendship.
But now for a true "scalping" story.
A friend of mine who is diabetic was in Walmart to buy supplies for Katrina. She wanted some batteries for back up for her insulin pump. When she got to the bin the area under the normal price sign was bare. I guess every body grabbed them just in case since they were not too expensive. When filling her gas tank she saw batteries behind the counter under a sign marking them up ten times normal. She purchased them under protest. So who was able to supply her with potential life saving supplies? The evil "scalper" might have saved her life, but she still uses profanity damning him!
