With Maason Smith signing with LSU...has LSU signed the #1 overall recruit 3 years in a row?

Smith, Gilbert, and Stingley?

You are greatly mistaken as NONE of those 3 were a #1 overall recruit.

Rivals ranked Smith and Stingley #1. Gilbert was rated #9 on Rivals. I believe that is the only service that had any of them #1.

Why can’t you just say “Am I mistaken about recruiting? Why even go out of your way to put the three periods there?

Leonard Fournette is the only nationally number one ranked recruit to ever sign with LSU.

Well I think its context, Personally, I take the 247 Composite #1 player as the legitimate #1 prospect as it averages via according to them using a proprietary algorithm the recruiting rankings across all the major services (Rivals, ESPN, 247's own one).

Again just how I look at it.

You could make a case for Stingley Jr. but the question is where did those 3 Average Out from all 3 major recruiting services or throw the top 5 services and possibly 2 out of the 3 might average out to be #1 overall
