I didn't get to see the game last night and just went over all of TJ's highlights. I was highly impressed with him and he seemed very poised, but I don't see how there is a comparison between him and MB right now. The majority of his yards were after catch, and most completions were slant routes. Did he complete a pass over 20 yards in the air? It seemed like he was asked to manage the game and let the receivers and running game do the work. MB has been putting dimes on guys 30+ yards downfield. I think the future is bright with him and Max, but MB is the guy.

TJ managed the game extraordinarily well.

He didn't have to carry the entire offense like Myles has been asked to.

He had one pass rolling out for a decent chuck of yards that he threw on a frozen rope that I thought was his best pass of the night. Can’t remember who the receiver was. Maybe Jenkins

Some good points, but if it’s even close, you go with the true freshman, and that is especially true with the modern day transfer rules. Ask Georgia about the situation we are in

What I'm concerned about it the message it sends to new recruits. You have a QB who is breaking records for LSU QB's and has stuck it out for 3 years for a shot, and you take it away. I mean it's not like this is MB's last year here. Let him get his shot against teams like Bama and if he falters then you go to the other guys.

It's a bad look if he gets benched without another chance.

He showed more last night than Fields had shown at Georgia.

Fromm was also an incumbent two year starter who didn’t get hurt. It’s a bad analogy all around.

TJ threw a beautiful fade to Marshall for an early score and threw out routes as well as slants. We didn’t try to go downtown much but TJ looks more than capable. I actually prefer the controlled passing game to relying on the home run.
TJ also moved the chains which is something we didn’t do vs Mizzou,
This isn’t about TJ vs Myles. Myles is the starter. Everyone should just be happy we have two very capable and poised backups at QB, contrasted with the Jennings, Harris fiasco.

On the contrary, playing a guy because he’s been here longer is how you lose recruits

Elite QB prospects are gonna want to come in and compete for the job.

I think Brennan should still start but take the “he waited his turn” bullshite completely out of the equation because it doesn’t mean shite

I know the play you're talking about, it was to the sideline when Jenkins and maybe Kirklin was in the same area. The play the poster talking about was a dig across the middle to Jenkins when he threw a dart and ended up being a 30 yard gain.

Why lie?

It was also known by everyone that Fields was a much more dynamic player. I mean he was the #1 player in the country.

Not perfect but if we don’t play Finley, the result will be the same, just from his body language it was clear he believes in himself, he ain’t riding the pine for years

That has more to do with having an effective running game than who the quarterback is.

That’s not really a lie. Fields didn’t really do shite at Georgia

The problem is that TJ was heavily managed for the majority of the game. The line showed up and established the running game early. What happens when the running game breaks down and he is getting pressured. Can he make the downfield throws when the short passing game and running game gets stopped. Brennan has already shown the ability to do that, whereas that's still a big question mark for TJ.
