I'm sure it's been stated ad nauseam

I don't know the full rules of scheduling, but that being said a week 0 game is a no-brainer. I believe you begin practicing a week early, you get an additional bye week in the season, and your hard game is the 2nd game of the season. I don't see any negatives

At the very least, stop scheduling a challenging game 1st. But the additional bye week is an added benefit

Or stop scheduling P5 for week 1.

The schedules are made years in advance. I'm not sure why people are making this an issue...

Cupcake games are going away sooner than later with conferences getting larger.

Or write in language in our week 1 P5 OOC opponent contracts that stipulate they can’t sneak in a week 0 game years after the agreement was made.

Clemson week 1 is retarded. I'm tired of losing week 1 games.

Yet here you are.

You don’t say?

Teams who play at Hawaii are allowed to schedule a week 0 game to make up for the travel time. Last year UCLA actually played at Hawaii week 0. This year FSU scheduled a shitty FCS team that plays at Hawaii.

Regardless the only way you get a week 0 game is by either playing at Hawaii or scheduling one of the 7 teams that play at Hawaii (really 6 since one of the 7 is playing there week 0). It’s not as simple as y’all make it out to be

There was a time when LSU feasted on these games. Now we all of a sudden want to completely scrap that. Even then, did we all of a sudden forget about this team losing to a Mississippi St. team that immediately crashed and burned the rest of the season?

This is obvious.

Last I checked, Hawaii and it’s opponents for a single season don’t give a limitless supply of options for Week 0.

That had absolutely nothing to do with us losing last night. FSU having a week 0 game did not help them in any way.

Yes, they looked ahead and said “hey, opening the season against a quality opponent like LSU is not a good idea, let’s see what we can do!”
