I think his success at Stanford was because of the Lopez(sp??) twins plain and simple.

yep... and he only made it to the sweet sixteen, not the final four, as someone else stated.

You don't think TJ would still be here had Hamilton not left? We would have had a legit chance to make the NCAA's next season and kept the program moving in the right direction. We couldn't afford to lose anyone important, so Hamilton leaving killed us.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out what Pat Murphy had to do with anything.

Everyone has a different thought on this, but from reading the book about Rich Rod's struggles, the biggest thing I can tell is that EVERYONE needs to be on point.

Rich Rod failed not because he was/is a bad coach. He's a great coach. Rich Rod failed because the Athletic Department wasn't fully behind him. He made mistakes, sure, but he didn't have help in correcting them.

All ducks need to be in a row. Everyone on the same page. When one group is touting one philosophy and another group is touting another and another group touting yet another, things become strained and messy and typically don't work.

Nope, I still think Johnson would've left for TCU.
