LSU baseball will get better but talent is lacking on this baseball team and that is on Coach M He is an above average coach . . . Not great Geaux LSU

On paper this is actually a very talented team but it's unproven and what little experience you have returning isn't even playing their same positions.

You cant blame the AD for an opening season series loss in baseball. But he is a total clown and is way in over his head @ LSU.
How hard is it to be the Duke AD with Coach K coaching BBall

I’m just curious-serious question here-Do you want Wade fired already? If so, who would you bring in, and if you fired a guy after one year and the recruiting class he has coming in next year, what coach in their right mind would take the job? Not trying to start a fight here, looking for a serious, well thought out answer to the question.

Football: 9-4
Basketball: 17-14
Baseball: 38-26

LINK

I understand it’s outlandish to expect to be a juggernaut in all three but when you’re located in a hotbed of talent (Louisiana) with no major in-state competition and are in the what is arguably the best conference in all 3 major sports, it’s fair to expect to be pretty damn good and elite at atleast one. GOOD PROGRAMS DONT REBUILD THEY RELOAD, and from what I’ve seen this looked like a rebuilding year for all three sports across the board. There is much promise in the direction all three are headed for next year but does not gaurntee anything, I hope we never have to sit through a year like this ever again.

Les Miles for AD

I’m not the least bit worried about the baseball or basketball programs. LSU baseball was given a lot of hills to climb this season and they struggled to do it at times, but next season they should be back to national revelance. Not much has to be said about the basketball program, Wade will make this a perennial power in time.

Football is the only real question mark, and while things may look mediocre right now I don’t think that’s a program that will be held down long. Whether it’s Orgeron or the next guy, that’s a program with to many resources to stay down for a long period of time.

According to the Cheeri-O’s 8 wins would be exceeding expectations and Alleva would probably give him a raise and extension.

This is the worst baseball team in recent memory, but of the many horrible things we can blame on Alleva, this isn’t one of them. And I’m not sure many teams would be worth a shite if you took away their starting SS and 4/5 of their top pitchers.

Basketball is in great shape.

Our recruiting class in footballl was exactly what was needed. Include the two grad transfers and it is easily top 10 and probably top 5. We finally have a recruiter and coach recruiting to a roster and managing a roster instead of just loading up on skill players in state.

Baseball has overachieved given the draft and graduation attrition. Very good foundation in place.

. Are you sure about that? What if it was those players that left on account of him on both the Oline and DLine or the misses he had as head recruited for DLine?
LSU had 6 defections including their most experienced starter on the Oline alone. LINK

Then there’s Valentine, fat boy from last season that didn’t play as a freshmen, how about this article explaining things if Loc didn’t return. There is so much wrong and stupidity with this.

But they are. Alleva has created a dark cloud under which all of LSU athletics operates. The Championship mindset that was established in the Saban years has totally evaporated.

What the hell ever gave anyone the idea that Les Miles could do this job at even a rudimentary level?

and both lines will still be a HELL of a lot better than when he took over.

Losing one starter to academics and a bunch of backups who wouldn't have played anyway isn't the worst that could happen.

I'm excited to see Joe, Jonathan, Greedy, Devin, Brieden and Rashard. If you aren't, you don't have to watch.

The two articles you linked didn’t really say anything to back up your POV.

The sub-headline on the article about OL attrition is “It’s not about losing five guys... just one.” In other words, the only loss that hurt was Teuhema.

The DL article only speculated that losing certain DL guys to the NFL were a cause for concern, but the last line of the article was, “Coach Ed Orgeron is bringing the swagger back at a position that produced great players and great results on the field for years……” That doesn’t exactly seem like a derogatory statement about O, and I didn’t see Valentine’s name anywhere in the article.

Am I misunderstanding your arguments? What was the point of linking those two articles?

How is lsu losing this series on alleva?
Peas (Snow Peas Joe) is as bad as it gets, but everything that's happening to the RBH's (Rainbow Shoe Hobbits) is strictly on Frodo. (Mainieri)

Complacency has set it. Every HC has a certain life span at a school, then it's time to move on. Joe has probably held on to CPM for a bit too long, but that's his M.O. and what he does best.

He's the King MA. (Mediocrity Acceptor)

His loyal followers in the Kingdom, (All the Pump Lump Nut Butter Cheerleader MA's) love and embrace "The Meds" though, so there's always that constant and annoying little back swell of support no matter what happens.
