Let me give you some friendly advice.
If you ever get invited to a meeting, and the other person brings a lawyer, I don’t care if it is your boss, your employee, your wife, your stock broker or real estate agent, and you don’t bring YOUR lawyer, you are going to get screwed!!

Are you aware of the wire taps?

Can he have a meeting with just he and Alleva present to let Alleva know what really happened?

The only problem with that idea is that the employee doesn't set the agenda. The boss does.

That isn't the issue. Whatever Alleva may or many not be otherwise, he was within his right as Wade's superior to call the meeting.

Wade's refusal triggered the suspension.

Do you not see how dumb Alleva was in calling a meeting and how ridiculously stupid you are in agreeing with him?

A good Boss analyzes the situation totally and completely and weighs the pros and cons for doing something. Calling a meeting was the absolute dumbest thing for Alleva and the LSU administration to do in this situation.

The best option was to do nothing. Absorb the media blow-up, stand up to the bullying idiots like Dick Vitale, and simply say that they will wait for all the facts to come in, do a complete investigation of their own, and address it AFTER the Trial in April.

I don't see why Simpletons like you cannot understand this.

Then expect for unpleasant things to happen. Wade must have known this. He decided to take the risk.

You are either being paid by LSU to try to direct the narrative or are just dumb. The issue is not that he wanted a meeting with Wade, it's that the meeting he scheduled was an obvious set up. Nobody with half a brain goes to that meeting alone, and anyone on here saying they would is either working for LSU admin or stupid.

All of this is interesting as shite but it doesn't change the fact that it was Wade that decided that he wouldn't go to that meeting. What other "what if's" might come up, the basic facts are that Wade made and was recorded making some highly suspicious comments. Wade refused to meet with his boss.

Nobody with half a brain has a conversation on the phone and uses dialogue of that nature.

In today’s society with technology and the ongoing controversy in NCAA basketball do you discuss recruiting a player and mention great offers and taking care of family and get more than rookie minimum.

If he is innocent and this was a misunderstanding, I question WW judgement. You don’t say those things on a phone.

Stop lying. That banana nosed assehole, aleva, decided to get the ncaa involved and Wade’s lawyer said no. Some of people are some stupid, miserable fricks.

Then tell me why would Alleva set up Wade? Is it your fantasy that Alleva wanted Wade gone? Why? So he sets up Wade in a fail/fail situation that would inevitably get rid of Wade? Why? If you can buy into this conspiracy theory then you must have an end game to it.

You know that LSU sprung the NCAA on Wade at the 13th hour right?

God man that is so hurtful. I might cry all night.

If you can't do better than that you need to leave the burns to the adults in the room.

Geez this guy drinks the PR feedback.

Probably enjoys watching mainstream media and thinks websites are unbiased.

Why is this a problem? Does Wade have something to hide from the NCAA?

This is of course a side issue and you know it is. The issue is Wade's insubordination. The rest is fluff.

And what in the world does Alleva's nose have to do with any intelligent discussion?

Yeah, heaven forbid he stand up for himself.

I hope you didn't work in business. You must've been taken advantage of more times than you're capable of counting.

Where was it said he couldn’t bring his lawyer? If I missed it then I’m wrong, and I agree, but I can’t find where he wasn’t allowed to have representation present

ETA: I will also give you some friendly advice. Let’s pretend you are ever in a position of authority, and your employee has done something questionable that you must set the record straight on before your company can move forward, and that employee refuses to meet with you because the owner of the company wants to be present in this said meeting. How do you think that’ll work out for that employee?
