Exactly. Poster that say our offense went to shite once JJ began to start, don't know what they are talking about. November was by far our best month of offense.
Right. Like the Arkansas game when the offense was completely dead for the first half. Honey Badger is who took the fight out of Arkansas in that game.
Same goes for Georgia. 2 dead first halves of offense.
Screw it, let's go over all of the games that JJ started
1. Western Kentucky - Against this Juggernaut we were up 14-7 at the half. Obviously the offense was firing on all cylinders. Of course we eventually pulled away but that's a pretty slow start against that caliber of competition.
2. Ole Miss - His most efficient game. But Ole Miss was dead in the water as we opened the gates with an INT for a TD and had a second defensive score early in the second quarter. JJ was an efficient 7/7 for 88 yards. Probably his best game, but it's easy when you're rushing for 7.1 yards a carry and get some defensive scores like we did in that game. It should be of note that this Ole Miss team was bad. Pitiful bad. They were 2-10 and got beat up by Louisiana Tech. Not even as good as Western Kentucky
3. Arkansas - Offense looked dreadful out the gates. Thanks to a TM7 with the forced fumbles and the big punt return we took control over the game and crushed their spirit. That being said JJ finished the game with solid stats 18-29, 208 yards and one INT. LSU rushed for 299 yards
4. UGA - This game was absolutely a pathetic first half of offense. TM7 again got us in the game with 2 amazing punt returns. We also had some help from Blue on a long TD run and a pick 6 from Claiborne. To act like this game was such an eventual arse kicking because of JJ is laughable. Jefferson's stats against the first really strong defense he played as a starter: 5-13, 30 yards, got sacked twice.
5. Bama - Absolutely pitiful performance, nothing even needs to be said.

Because we played Western Kentucky and an Ole Miss team that was weaker than Western Kentucky. Are you obtuse?

Not sure why this all of a sudden turned into a bitchfest about a game that we won 42-10 that happened four years ago.
Yes, all we need is good QB play.

Good QB play, and a good pass rush, and I like what this team can do

Ah, can't believe I forgot that Lee faced the defensive juggernauts of Northwestern State, WVU, UK, Florida, Tennessee and Auburn.
Ok I have had enough...Lets look at the 2011 season....
Game #1 LSU 40-#3 Oregon 27...OB =LEE
Game #2 LSU 49- NSU 3 QB =LEE
Game #3 LSU 19-@#25 Miss St.6 QB =LEE
Game #4 LSU 47-@#16 West Virginia 21 QB=LEE
Game #5 LSU 35-UK 7 QB=LEE
Game #6 LSU 41-#17 FLA 11 QB=LEE
Game #7 LSU 38- 7 @ TENN 7 QB=LEE
Game #8 LSU 45-#19 AU 10 QB = LEE
Game #9 LSU 9-@#2 Bama6 OT QB= JJ
Game #10 LSU 42- WKU 9 QB=JJ
Game #11 LSU 52-@ Ole Miss 3 QB=JJ
Game #12 LSU 41- #3Arkie 17 QB=JJ
Game #13 LSU 42-#12 UGA 10 SECCG QB=JJ
Game #14 LSU 0-#2Bama 21 NC GAME QB= JJ
SO lets see The 1st 8 games of the season LEE played a majority of the time as the QB playing 5 ranked teams. Just look at the margin of victory against those ranked teams..Lee played very well in those games... NOw He played pretty bad against Bama and got pulled. No problem.. The D and an unexpecting bama D helped lead JJ to a win... So JJ gets the starts the restof the season and beat a horrible WKU and Ole Miss teams... I will JJ credit for the Arkie game. IMO his best game as a tiger..
NOW Lets see.. UGA ranked #12 holds JJ and the LSU offene to ZERO 1st downs in the 1st half...Just AWFUL... The D and special teams spark the team in the 2nd half and the running game wore down UGA'S D and led LSU to a win..JJ.. Not so much. Sorry thats a fact..... Then against Bama again JJ plays one of the worst games I [and many others] have ever seen..
So throw all your STATS out the fricking window..As far as WINNING and providing better leadership, LEE was a better QB in 2011 than JJ.....Sorry but its not really that close.................

Good luck with GOOD qb play with no QB! Ha

Lee had better stats than Jefferson in 2011. Get the frick over it. Did you even read my post in response to your friend? Our offense wasn't "much better with JJ", that isn't how that works. We played 3 shitty rushing defenses and our running backs racked up yards which JJ had absolutely no control over, other than that Lee led 4 out of our best 6 passing games and finished with better stats. You're throwing irrelevant shite out that has nothing to do with the QB to defend your boy Jefferson, which isn't a surprise considering everyone with half a brain knows he was a shite quarterback

And some luck. There will always be a need for simple luck. There will be games that will hinge on who gets the flag tossed on them at the wrong time or which team drops the ball at worst possible time in the game.
There are teams out there just as good as LSU but with far better QB's.

Les Miles always gets some luck. That's why he doesn't lose 6 or 7 games instead of 3 or 4.

Thanks for taking the time to do that
I've been arguing stats with these guys but the main thing that sticks out in my mind is watching the Western Kentucky game with my dad and saying that LSU wasn't even close to the same team as they were the first half of the season. It's crazy that anyone can look back and defend that pitiful shite unless they just didn't watch football all season

Because you have azzholes arguing the merits of playing a toxic JJ the rest of the season over JL who was the horse that got us there.....and making it sound like JJ was head and shoulders better than JL...again a delusion.

Look at my above post.....Make sense to you...Would it seem to answer a lot of questions about who was the better QB in 2011?????
Just askin.......

I know that JJ was a bad QB I'm saying Lee was worse. You're acting like Lee was the guy scoring all of the points for us throughout the season. Look the point is we relied on our running game and defense that entire year. Lee reminded us that he couldn't play football vs a competent defense against Alabama so we really had no choice but to go with JJ. Only thing Lee would have done for us on 1/9 was make the score worse. And there is no arguing that.

you don't know this with absolute certainty. Your theory is speculation. If JL played that night....shite the bed again....then we wouldn't even be discussing this.

This is just wrong.... You may need to look back at some of those games Lee started.....Like WVA,FLA,And AU,And Miss st. He made some really good passes in those games... The only game I can Ksay that about JJ is the Arkie game.... BTW WKU and Ole Miss were Awesome D's that year... Yeah ok. Arkie's D was about as good as MSU or FLA or AU....
UGA and Bama had real good D's in 2011 BUT JJ failed in both those games to get anything done... NO ARGUING THIS...........

Lee lead the team to an 8-0 record, then shat the bed against Alabama
Jefferson lead the team to a 5-0 record, then shat the bed against Alabama
I get the narrative that you're in a BCSNC game and you can't hold anything back now
But Lee was winless against Alabama with a 1:7 TD/INT ratio... did he deserve a shot for how he guided the team earlier in the year despite his earlier performance in light of the ineptitude Jefferson was displaying? Probably.
Would it have made a difference against a motivated and rested Alabama defense full of future NFL draft picks? Absolutely not.
(Still don't see how this is relevant to 2015)
