His career yards per attempt 7.0 is higher than Flynn's in 2007 which was 6.7. So if JJ'S career yards per attempt wasn't high in then Flynn's wasn't in 2007.

The point is if he was any good he would have better stats because he had so many starts

What? He isn't top 5 in starts and is top 6 in every major passing statistic and is top 5 in yards and tds. You have no idea what you're talking about.

No, those were Jefferson's contributions to Byrd's career numbers. I don't think you understand how being a wide receiver works.

Oh yea I forgot that according to you and Rick, Jefferson only got 2 years of playing time. That's why he's ranked 5th all time in attempts at LSU, interesting take

They weren't. His stats weren't good by any means but he was the opposite of Jordan Jefferson. Excellent game manager, knew the offense like the back of his hand, good character, great field presence and leadership, clutch as hell, and all around good at running the offense despite the fact that his stats might not tell the whole story

JJ isn't top 6 in qb starts yet is top 6 in every major passing statistic.
I'm sorry that FACTS AND stats prove JJ didn't have shitty career. I have facts you have your biased opinion that's been proven to be insignificant when discussing football.

Since 1970 no program in the sec has produced more nfl qbs than LSU.

JJ is not top 6 in starts.
JJ is top 5 in attempts. He has used those attempts to achieve these rankings at a top 15 alltime program that has produced more nfl qbs , since 1970n than any sec program.

5th in wins
5th in passing tds
6th in passing yards
6th in compl %
1st in career qb rushing yards
1st in single season qb rushing yards
5th in total offensive yards
5th in total tds.

In no way is that a shitty career. You may hate everything about JJ but his career wasn't horrible. His character and intangibles may make him a below average player once you factor that in but his play was not shite while at lsu.

Only 4 lsu players have accounted for pretty total offense. 1. Tommy Hodson 8,938 yards 2.Jeff Wickersham 6,705 yards 3.JaMarcus Russell 6,704 yards 4.Herb Tyler 6,654 yards 5.Jordan Jefferson 5,751 yards

That's fine... But LSU has never been know as a passing school..........

in what imaginary world are character and intangibles not factored in when you're talking about good how a player was? You're living in a fricking fantasyland where a compilation of stats trumps the events that happened in real life

Be careful. The NFL has a Hall of Fame and character is not heavily factored in as much as production. Btw, it's located in the unimaginary state of Ohio.

OK but we have produced nfl qbs. Since 1970 no sec program has produced more nfl qbs than lsu.
lsu has the most qbs drafted since 1970

That's still not saying much. The sec didn't really become a passing league till the 80's... I know you are reaching for any possible little nugget you can to make it look like JJ is a top tier QB.. IMO he was average at best.... And the amount of posts you have wasted by repeating over and over and over and over is getting old...

Holy shite. You're the dumbass using immeasurable things to rank qbs. It's laughable how you haven't used any facts in your arguments and use immeasurable intangibles to rank qbs.

Holy shite. I've repeatedly said JJ wasnt a good qb, BUT he certainly wasn't horrible and damn sure didn't have a horrible career. How many times do I have to tell you that peej?

Ok guys.. Look it was four years ago, they were both bad quarterbacks. Now can we please just start looking forward to next year and quit rambling the same things on this thread day in and day out.

You were proven wrong the entire thread. You ask any lsu fan on the planet if they would sign up for a 4 year qb that would finish top 6 in every major passing statistic in lsu history and every single one says frick yeah.
