The answer is Thomas Davis! He only played 2 years at LSU, but he was 6'8 with a 40+ inch vertical! He ALWAYS put on a show in Pregame and at the REC that had everyone going crazy!!! Dude could fly!

The PMAC had a dunk-o-meter added to the scoreboard when Shaq was there. I'm thinking he might be in the running...

Why do people keep saying Shaq? Big men do awful in the dunk contest. Rarely do you see someone taller than 6-8 do well in the dunk contest.

DeWayne Scales and his "Lordy! Lordy! Lordy!" dunk against Georgia. if you saw the game, you know the one I mean. That was the comment from the SEC commentator when DeWayne soared high for an offensive rebound, and at the peak he dunked it over the Georgia center with one of the most vicious dunks I have ever seen.

Shattering the backboard at will is impressive in a different way but it's still impressive.
Scales was before my time but I remember Jerry Reynolds. He could fly.
