OC is not hard, Sloan, BD and BK make it look difficult. Dawson is being mentioned as a name for the VA Tech job, we need to look at Tim Cramsey, his Memphis offense is not bad.

He learned from Dana Holgerson. Shannon played for Dana at one his OC gigs before ever becoming a HC. Shannon attached his wagon to Dana after graduation and was his right hand man for the earlier part of his career. He's come a long way. Both are decedents of the Hal Mumme tree. Shannon was good at Southern Miss too.

These are the same fans who could do a better job than Sloan every day of the week. I'm not saying Sloan is a good OC, but the job is definitely not easy.

You can argue about overall coordination of the offense, but there are most certainly high school OC's out there that would call plays better than Sloan.
