Pretty good list, lots of quality depth on the line and in the secondary. I'd change a few people:

DE Spears
DE Sonic Sam
DT Dorsey
Dt Kyle Williams --> Lavalais
OLB Highsmith
OLD flauk
MLB James
CB Webster
CB peterson --> Claiborne
FS E Ried
SS Laron Landry

DT Dorsey
DT Williams
DE Montgomery
DE Spears
LB Faulk
LB James
LB Sheppard
CB Webster
CB Peterson
S Landry
S Reid

I agree w this, but I just still think Lavalais was a bit better than KW. Really splitting hairs, but he was unstoppable his sr yr.

Montgomery will show how great he is this yr.

Maybe one day, but Webster was a beast in college and has been a top 10 CB in the pros ever since he got drafted. As of right he's clearly the best cornerback out of LSU in the last decade

I love Webster but he isn't a top ten cb in the nfl.

Arguably he is, especially after his performance last season and during their first super bowl run

I'd put Lavalais ahead of Williams

No way. And I love Webster, but not even close to TM7! Don't forget we lost two games because Webster blew assignments.

Best defensive player in LSU history is not on that list. TM7 If there was a better player tell me who it is? Were they invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremonies?

we also won plenty of games because of him. he iced the game against uga in 2003. he raped florida in 2002. even though it should have been PI, he completely changed the Bama game in 2004 with a pick in the endzone. webster was a boss. not even close to TM7? i guess him being 2nd all-time in school history in INTs and being a 2 time all american (3 time 1st team all-sec) don't count for much

Another Tiger that merits mentioning at DE: Jarvis Green

From Wikepedia:
quote:

Green played college football at Louisiana State University, where he ranks fourth on the school’s all-time sack list with 20 sacks for 123 yards. In 1998, Green set an LSU freshman record with eight sacks for 46 yards, starting 10 games at defensive end. As a sophomore in 1999, Green had seven sacks and 51 tackles. In 2000, Green had 31 tackles and one sack in eight games started. In his senior season in 2001, Green was voted a second-team All-SEC selection after picking up 52 tackles and leading the team with four sacks.

Agree, just wanted Jarvis mentioned. If Sam was to stay for his Sr. season (dreams are allowed), he would become the greatest DE in LSU history (if not after this yr).
