BIG 12 will never take UH serious, the stadium is a low capacity dumster. The campus is 80's retro and the other sports are a joke at best. When Herman leaves in 2 years or before, there will be crickets watching football games in Houston.

They have some big time boosters including Red McCombs. They can pay him.

Maybe, but why would he stay? Miles didn't stay at OSU...Saban didn't stay at MSU....

It's a brand new stadium (2014). It only has a capacity of 40,000 currently, but it was designed for expansion to 60,000, which would make it the 4th largest stadium in the Big 12.

LSU isn't hiring a new coach with zero HC experience, and only 4 years of coaching experience at the college level.

The only way, and I mean the ONLY WAY Houston gets into the Big 12 is if Texas lets them. And Texas would be dumb as sh*t to let them in with Herman as head coach. He would smoke them every year on the field and in recruiting. I don't see Texas letting that happen, but you never know.

The real reason why no BIG 12 team wants UH in the conference, is recruiting. Followed by facilities and campus, booster etc..

Texas will bolt for the PAC 12 and OU will drag OKST with it to the BIG 10....so the point is mute, there will not be a BIG 12 without those three....UH is not getting in the Big 12

This is exactly what me and all my "Associates" are saying.

It's also pretty much the line of thinking from just about everybody I talk with around BR; all but the few remaining "Hold Out" Pumpers...........

Texas is a vocal supporter of Houston in the Big 12.

Well, the Pac 12 has shown interest in Houston if ignored by the Big 12.

Never will UT leave the BIG12, much less travel more for PAC12 games, it would be the dumbest move ever.

Houston is a top 10 media market, UH had a jump in 20% in attendance. They have over 40k enrolled. Their alums have cash. The big 12 is desperate and Houston is going to be a top 10 team all year. I think the only way they don't add them is if UT agrees to change the Longhorn channel to the BIg12 Network and they can get FSU.

My .02 is that you don't pussy foot around. Go full fuching out for Herman. Tell Miles that at the end of this year he can resign with class or he will be terminated. Call Hermans agent and begin negotiations.

While it's true the UT president and Texas Governor have backed Houston publicly to the Big 12 did you really think they would say otherwise? The UT president isn't going to buck the Texas Governor and the Governor isn't going to turn his back on the city of Houston.

Still doesn't mean they get in. No financial sense to add UH to the Big 12, they are already in the Big 12 market and not that big of a school with only a recent showing in football and nothing of worth in basketball. I still say BYU, UConn or Cincinnati are your favorites to land in the Big 12. I could be wrong though.
