WAFB BATON ROUGE, La. (LSU) - LSU pitchers Jaden Hill and Devin Fontenot on Tuesday received 2021 Preseason All-America recognition from Collegiate Baseball newspaper. Hill was named to the first team and Fontenot was voted to the second team by the publication.

With two All-American pitchers, LSU can get back to Omaha, the team just needs a little more help from the offense. All depends on how much-improved LSU's batting average will be. So how are we looking offensively, haven't read much about LSU’s hitters?

Wafb editors are shite and whoever wrote this knows shite about baseball. That sentence isn’t a question. And batting average is near the bottom of offensive stats when it comes their correlation with scoring runs (and thereby winning).

A trip to Omaha would do wonders for LSU fans with no bowl game.

Pitching staff should be dominant. All comes down to hitting and I think they’ll surprise a lot of you this season

Pitching will start having their vagisil moments early and several will miss time with arm trouble. You can set your watch to it.

It would be awesome for LSU to get through just one season without arm troubles.

It would be but it’s not likely. A lot of these guys coming to play, played on travel teams during the summer and fall, when their high school season ends, and throw too much instead of getting rest. By throwing too much, I don’t mean throwing 150 pitches per game, but throwing 7-8 months out of the year which is too much stress on the arm. There’s a reason why the only pitchers who throw that much are minor league and MLB pitchers. Even college players don’t pitch that much during the year. Travel ball teams don’t have trainers and a medical staff, so it all comes down to the coach, player, and parent, which a lot of times doesn’t end with a good result.

As long as no other teams have lefty pitchers.

Man, I hope we addressed that.

. I think with such a deep rotation. That will not be an issue. Beck and co will also be back. This team is experienced at pitching like no other has been in a VERY long time. It is possible that it could be as good as those from the early ‘90’s.

Everyone in the SEC will have Big Leaguers on the mound. For example MSU has 3 top 50 prospects on the mound. LSUs weak spot this year will be there bats probably. You have to hit to be able to score. CPM could be on the hot seat?

Find a way to win despite coaching. Just like ‘09.

Hill might have the most potential but he wasn't our best pitcher in the fall. That would probably be Marceaux. I read Fontenot developed a second pitch that will make him even more dangerous. We do have lefties and some good looking Freshmen.

Offensively we will be led by C. Doughty, Beloso, Crews and Morgan. I expect some others will emerge behind those four to make us a good hitting team.

Can’t wait to see true weekday starters and Hillard smoking fools with his curveball in short relief.

I read recently that Hilliard's velocity is up. I'm hoping that he as a bounce back year.

To think that Hilliard will be the 4-5th starter is ridiculous.
Hellmars, Storz, Kamainar, and watch out for Millias. These are some serious arms...
