If money was the only issue, LSU would be in the SEC Championship game and a top seed in the CFP.
Money is a big part of it, no doubt, but this year showed definitive proof it takes more than just that to be a good/great football program.

That statement sums it all up. LSU spent a pile in the portal and are 7-5. Proof it's not all about the talent but coaching also. It takes both to win championships.

He said all the offers were very similar money wise. The big differences were alignment, and NIL.

Ole Miss and Florida were matching offers. Whoever the fourth school was probably was as well. He didn’t choose LSU because of the money.

No it’s a reference to working in a state like Miss with two major universities. Saban has echoed the same sentiment about Alabama and Auburn both competing politically, financially, and for recruits.
