With a legit AD in place, does he and the BOS/BIG MONEY CATS(TAF) bypass F...king with the latest power play to make decisions?

“The Board was happy with his constant whining that emphasizes he is incapable of running a flagship university without massive tax increases.” Fixed it for them.

How is this hard for people to understand- King isn’t going anywhere as long as Edwards is the govener.

Hopefully, F King didn't trust Alleva and felt the need to intervene. Maybe with the Woodward, F King will leave him alone.

The Board bumped Alexander’s $610,666 salary by 3 percent, which was the same increase LSU faculty received this year. He is one of the highest paid university leaders in the country.

Woodward is not going to take shite from F King and I'm pretty confident when I say he'll have the backing of the BOS when it comes to athletics.

I'd assume that law was clearly laid down with FKing.

No kidding...no offense, but why the hell would we pay a president (almost any president) top dollar in the country when our endowment isnt even Top 100 in the country?

I mean if they could find someone who people actually like and really raises the school's reputation and money, I would get it a little bit.

But to pay F King Alexander in the low-mid $600k range? I do wonder where that ranks exactly, "one of highest paid" isn't really descriptive. Could be Top 10, Top 30, Top 75.

Well, it's quite difficult to get a top notch person at a school like LSU. When you're outside of the top 100 on just about every ranking, and the school has so many budget problems, it'd take a lot to get someone to be in charge of it all.

That said, I don't see how a 3% CoL raise that all faculty got is a reason to raise hell lol.

Just know that 600k isn't a whole lot for a University President. Maybe top 50? LINK Texas A&M's President makes twice that. UF's President makes over $1m.

ETA: I've found a full ranking from 2016-2017. F. King was the 64th highest paid university President among public universities. LINK
