Was just listening to the replay on the Chad Blouin Show from today and Alan Risher said that Teddy Bridgewater is a better QB than Mettenberger.

Agree or Disagree? Thoughts?

It ain't the player. It's the system and the playcalling.

Bridgewaters pocket presence is head & shoulders better than Metts.

Ok.

Maybe some is innate. Maybe some mechanics and footwork were taught.

However, there is a common denominator. It's LSU's lack of QB development and putrid playcalling when it comes to down/distance and in-game situations.

Does that show always have guests go out on such a limb?

I like Mett but I lost count of how many times he overthrew an open receiver downfield this season. That's not the system or playcalling that's on him.

JJ's topside was mediocre, and he was wildly inconsistent. His downside was horrible.

Mett will even it out a bit next year.

did you watch Mett this year

in short, both are horrible passers, but at least defenses had to respect the run with JJ

mett will even it out? what did you see this season that makes you think that he will magically acquire pocket presence and be able to hit wide open receivers?
