But UT has been shitty for like 5 or 6 seasons in a row now. UT probably had winning records against both those schools before that or close to it. I don't think anyone would argue that UF is the premier program out of the East even if you go back 20 years. The fact that LSU plays them every year and Bama doesn't very often is an advantage to Bama winning the SEC whether anyone likes it or not. Just a fact.

I don't see why we can't change it. It is obviously not working. TN hasn't been good in over a decade.

Folks, the real problem is that Bama skipped having UGA this time through the rotation. "One year deal" my butt. There really is no reason for the SEC to not have just inserted Mizzou into the SECW rotation and aTm into the SECE rotation and press on. But no, they had to come up with some silly "return game one-off" schedule that means that LSU will play UGA three times in the regular season since Bama has.

Now, I agree that the division rivals should be gone so that a player can play every team during his career. But that has never happened, so why expect it now? I remember when we played 6 conference games and 5 of them were the same every year. This kind of madness has to stop.

But the real issue for 2013 is that UGA and Kentucky swapped places on Bama's rotation for no reason.

If UT had their shite together we wouldn't have permanent cross-divisional opponents anymore.

I think this desire to get Florida off of the LSU schedule

LSU isn't trying to get Florida off the schedule, they're wanting teams to play an equitable schedule and the permanent opponent is greatly hindering that...

Come on!

With that change, Alabama plays SEC 1-7 Tennessee and 0-8 Kentucky while LSU plays 7-1 Florida and 7-1 Georgia.

There is your reason, but let's not complain about the major shaft job the SEC office shoved up our arse.

Let Bama and UT play yearly if they want, just dont count it as an SEC game unless its that time in the rotation. Like someone said, catering to certain teams (like SEC does for Bama and Big 12 does for Texas) only hurts the rest of the conference.

Most people don't realize it down there but Scarbinsky is not a bama homer. The Gumps hate his guts up here and grilled him on his show this morning .
