after Jones double in the 7th. wonder what he had to say. it didn't appear he was inviting Jones to a BBQ. Jones didn't seem to react to what he was saying to him.

Back door throw for an out if runner is lazy and passes the base.

He probably said something like "You've been the shittiest batter in this lineup but you tore our arse up this weekend"

I don't really remember Reed looking like he was saying too much. Did I miss something?

This. Common baseball play on a sure double to left for the first baseman to come behind in case of lackadaisical base running. Anyone who played baseball over the age of 12 should know this.

Everyone does know that which is why the post was about what he was saying and not what he was doing.

Ran his mouth at the home plate ump Friday night after taking a called 3rd strike.

Blue had him on an unusually long leash on that one. He could've very easily run Reed and been well within reason.

Oh I know but we're not talking about that. I didn't notice him talking shite to Jacoby on the double.

Anyone on a team that got shite housed like they did this weekend would have to be a special kind of douchebag to be running his mouth.

i know the play. reed appeared to be speaking to jones, with jones looking squarely at him.

ETA: never fails that some asswipe will come out of the woods to poke his 2 cents worth of crap into any thread.

Wouldn't surprise me if this was something because this is the same guy who didn't leave 2nd base last night for a few minutes. He was the last out of the game and Jacoby tagged him. Reed had a problem with that, or the call, and refused to leave the bag. He absolutely was mouthing off to Jacoby then.

Y'all really have no clue.

Just because someone has a problem with the call an ump made doesn't mean they are going to chase someone across the diamond to make a shite stirring comment. They were both laughing. You jackasses are so fast to think someone is trying to start something with someone. Half of you would have a heart attack if you ever saw how well 99% of opposing players interact regardless of outcome aside from some heated rivalries. What would there be to gain by reed making a comment to jacoby?
