I don't care much for twitter either, but saying it sucks and is useless is like saying newspaper headlines suck and are useless. Every topic does not need 5000 word exposition--topics that do can have that source supplied within that 140 character tweet (headline). You don't have to pay attention to everyone or anyone. It's just like drilling down information in the real world.

Ok if twitter need too go..liquor,cigarettes,fishing,hunting,guns,cars,tobacco,false teeth,bengay,oldspice,brut 33,members only jackets,cars that were made before 2005,etc need to go also..

My point was that it is the obligation of the reader to gather pertinent information. It has been since the time of mass publication on your cartoon. Twitter is just another way for people to exchange information--what they choose to exchange is their own business, not the fault of twitter or other social vehicles.

Really? these cats were born in the 90s. They grew up with cell phones, and social media. I didnt have a cell phone until i was in college, and they certainly didnt have touch screens or even color.
It is whats in rt now, and to them its an acceptable form of communication. I do think the coach has every rt to stop them if it reflects poorly on the team and institution.
