Agents and college coaches

Lots of talk about Kiffin and the next coach. Fans need to realize, Sexton represents many but so does Trace Armstrong and Clint Dowdell. Between the three of them, they probably represent close to $250,000,000 per year in coaches salaries and close to $2B in total contract value. Almost every name thrown out on this board is represented by one of these three. The coaches have a union and it’s called agents. You may get lucky and avoid them for the head coach, but you can’t avoid them for the entire staff. A dysfunctional school admin like what’s played out at LSU in recent years will mean that LSU will pay through the nose for any coach to sign on.
