After what looked like blowouts in the two losses we were able to come back and take the lead and have a chance to win.
Should we have been in that situation? Probably not. But we have some glaring weaknesses than can be exploited mostly due to injuries.
Two converted TE’s caught TD passes or had big plays, makeshift moves after Green got hurt.
We ran truck plays that got them totally off guard.
I can’t explain why Devin harper didn’t win s starting job- the staff knew him well and he was playing part of the time in their playoff run. That’s is certainly one if our weaknesses.
The staff made halftime adjustments that you would expect a staff to do.
Did they do things I disagree with? Hell yes. I know everything to know about football I am an LSU fan.
This Kentucky coach was recruiting the same players we were, many were down to us and them. They spent a lot of money in the portal on key players. Despite their record they had some good lineman returning on both sides of the ball.
Sloan is familiar with Baker’s defense much like Golding was familiar with Weiss which is unusual to have to combat. I know ole miss had our offensive signsls in the first game until halftime when we adjusted.
All that comes into play.
We have too many injuries and have a dropoff in the replacements.
Baker does things I totally disagree with but its difficult to contain an offense when the OL holds every play and its never called.

I said 2 to 3 losses this year with the personnel we have, were just not there yet in some areas of the team. Kiffin knew this, kept saying it over and over each week, how much Weeks, Spears, and Green hurt being out now. Weeks to me was the biggest loss so far, and who do we have behind him, can't even name one. Should have gotten more than one LB out the portal last year. Putting a lot more on Baker now. This was a wake up call for Lane though, and the expectations moving forward now.

So, we aren’t holding the HC accountable now?

Baker is regressing. He is the last remnant of BK and probably needs to be shown the door.

This Baker is a fraud! He needs to be on notice rest of year especially when we are on the road where Defense wins games or in Bakers case loses games.

I agree. Coach Kiffin will right the ship and bring a NC to LSU. Book it.

Chill out. Last time I checked the season ain't over.

it has been night and day on the road vs at home.

Who has LSU played at home? They haven't played a team at home that has anything resembling an offense.

Not true we’ve lost 2 games by a total of 9 pts. I’m not on a ledge yet but I was hoping some what thinking we would make the CFPs. That’s not going to happen without a 6 game sweep. If it does you can get the mortar ready for a statue. 9-3 is what I thought but I thought Kentucky & Miss St were easy wins and kinda thought Tennessee was the booger boo. If we don’t get our shite in a pile 8-4 is looking likely.
I’m not a chicken little but it’s time for CLK, CWJr, and BB to stfu and win games. No more excuses

3 coaches in the history of the entire sport won a natty in year 1. Im not really sure what you were expecting.

Stop the fricking strawman. Nobody has demanded a natty.

We are 4-2 & have been obviously outcoached twice by two first time HCs with cheaper rosters.

When you beat the dogshit out of vastly inferior competition & lose every close game & every game against a team with a pulse… that screams coaching.

We also all have eyes.

This team has underachieved to date vs its potential. We are losing winnable games.

Aren't you the guy that started the "Convince me Kentucky can score a point on LSU" thread?

I don't think anyone should be taking advice from you. I wouldn't trust you to house sit a cactus for a day.

The offense is clicking now.

A “clicking” offense can get a 4-1 out of its base set.
